It’s not too early, the author said that the whole season 2 is dedicated for the chase arc so this is probably more than chase arc. It’s going to dive in to Dan’s horrible mental state + JJK’s career redemption + Dan’s grandma’s health while in the whole chasing arc. I think Mingwa has specified that this would only have 2 seasons? So this might be really heavy
Dan is not even in the condition to spread his legs willingly, he’s clearly suicidal now. Mingwa has done a great job to show that having a rough life could lead to suicidal thoughts and imagine including all chasing arc + Dan’s mental health discussion + Dan’s grandma’s health + Chasing arc + JJK’s redemption in all one season.

but i know others prefer more faster paced stories and want the groveling to start now. but i think the longer development will make the chasing arc more satisfying ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
