I think that phase doesn't mean she doesn't want him as a child. That's more shown for herself who doesn't have a "potential" to be a "good" mom for her own child (in her point of view).
Translated another language to another language are pretty difficult. I feel it because I'm a literature student. Haha.
Maybe the translator just wanna translate it as it is and hope we can imagine what the mom feel through Gu Ze's facial expressions.
Sometimes language like Chinese or Japanese have their own "feeling" in each phase. And to translate it into another language are difficult because some language do not have a equivalent meaning to the original language.
This is pure my opinion. Let's just hope the author doesn't make that phase mean "only if you weren't born"
