i don't know if it's correct or not but some people told me that FL remembers the story in a wrong way.
so we have four leads here, FL ML Alice(FL's friend and the original novel's female lead) Aaron*i think his name is Aaron idk*(FL thinks he is the second male lead that is not gonna get the girl). well apparently Aaron is the original male lead of the story that FL is in it and ML(Edgar) is actually the villain and not the male lead of the story so she chose the wrong guy to get close to from the beginning. i don't know if it's true or not yet. if anyone knows please let me know.
spoilers:Alice is the FL's friend and can see the future in her dreams. Alice in engaged to Edgar and the FL is engaged to Aaron. alice tells the FL that Edgar is dangerous and is actually a villain because he has the power of brainwashing everyone and our FL at first don't believe her but the time passes and she sees the odd things that doesn't make any sense...she is in the process of believing that Alice is right and wants to get away from Edgar so she uses Aaron and Aaron(still don't know if his name is this or not) actually doesn't want to get married or engaged to anyone so asks the FL to decline the engagement. FL says that she needs Aaron for unknown reasons(getting away from Edgar) so she asks him to just stay engaged to her until she figures things out. Aaron said that he also want to stay far away from Alice(idk the reason...he is supposed to see her and fall in love with her but he is running away from her...some said that Aaron loved another girl who is dead now and because he wants to stay loyal to the girl he loved, he doesn't wanna get married. i personally don't know the reason, i'm just saying what i've heard.).
another spoiler that i've heard:despite all the FL's effort she can't get away from Edgar because he is possessive af and loves the FL obviously. FL is not sure about her feelings but in time she figures them out.
