So funny that I learned about Entropy in System's Analysis, I got so confused about the half assed explanation about it that I totally forgot that the author is giving some wild reason why the ML is a strong being. I was like "Yeah, this is applicable for closed systems where feedback and retroallimentation doesn't happen, so why....oh"
Entropy is basically a natural phenomenon that all systems eventually go to, giving themselves to chaos and disorder. Closed systems are what we call things that are 'not alive' (like brick wall) if no one is there to fix the wall, it will decay and break (so, it will give itself to entropy). Open systems are things that are alive (but 'alive' has various meanings, so not just animals or humans are open systems, companies, social circles and even relationships can be considered open systems), and the open systems are less prone to give themselves to entropy (death) because they receive feedback (hunger, fever, cold) and retrofeeds themselves (eat, medicine, fire). So fear in the case of this story is simply stupid because it is a "feedback" that there is something wrong in the system, but 'distracting' entropy by not fearing it? It's just stupid.
That's what i also thought! However, i'm still pleased it was mentioned as part of Lovecraft's philosophy about world order and chaos. Perhaps the silly as heck 'distraction' idea of the author is better worded in the original Korean language unlike the translation(it may be another word with completely different meaning). No matter how ridiculous, it could at least be slightly passable for the sake of fiction. Then again i could be completely wrong since i don't know Korean, but one can hope lol
Guys guys guys, if you went to a foreign land and someone took your visa (your only way to go back) and said "If you take care of this chicken for a whole year, I will give back your visa" wouldn't you do it as well?? She is being coerced here!
If she tells the boyfriend about it, he could even kill the chicken and there goes their chance to get the visas back! Of course she has all the reason to feel guilty, but she not telling him is also smart, because they haven't been going out for long.
There are absolutely bad metaphors. Metaphors can be used to manipulate with people's perception. (I'm not saying you are doing that on purpose)
With yours you are massively downplaying the gravity of a situation by comparing a child to a chicken. You absolutely don't treat a chicken the same way as a human being.
Imagine making an metaphor like this: You just have to sacrifice a little chicken by beheading it. Farmers kill chickens like that.
Doesn't sound too bad right? Well, it's for what you have to do with your child.
Completely different vibe.
Another one: to get out of this strange land you just have to poke people into their bellies!!
Poking bellies stands for killing them by cutting their bellies open.
By framing something the way you did, you took away all the nuance and downplayed the suffering of the MC and her future child and her bf.

For fuck's sake, I'm just here for Toono/Yachan and Kashima. Those titles are nasty and everything else is simply... (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ ! ! !
We need to share because I'm only here for Yuri and Jimmy T.T
