I really like the plot. She understands that, even if he suffered about rejection and the curse altogether, he can't forget that he is royalty and she is a commoner. He was beginning to turn possessive over her to the point that he could stain the rest of their lives if they stayed together. He needed to mature, if she stayed there any longer, he could make a huge mistake in the name of love.
That's what I think people aren't getting in this plot, their situation isn't something to be reckless in the name of love. She didn't want to be his lover instead the FL, she just didn't want him to die in such a horrible way. He is still royalty, and needs to act as such.(￣へ￣）
