Their criticisms are valid, there's no need to belittle them for it. Pages dedicated to Fei Long and Mikhail having sex do absolutely nothing to advance the plot, other then offer obvious fan service. She could have easily faded to black and devoted the rest of whatever pages she planned to Asami and Akihito. I personally didn't mind the sex scene, but I understand why some people would be annoyed when focus shifts from main characters to secondary characters - especially given the long waits we've had in between chapters.

Instead sexual or not sexual interactions between Mik and Fei fit into the plot (isn't Asami having problems with Russians cause ass Mikhail stole from them and they are following Asami instead?) Do extras like Aki babysitting or becoming Asami's cat do something for the plot? The answer is not. And for the posters up you: stop whining, Sensei have been working on the plot for years, let her develop it. If you want only some trivial porn go somewhere else.

Actually, the latest chapter is pretty much trivial porn. The sex was so obviously put in for fan service it was so random and out of place. Even comments on weibo were all laughing because previous chapter Feilong was like a badass saying he'll handle Mikhail so people were anticipating what he was going to do but in the end he had to use his ass to handle him. Extras like Akihito babysitting etc are always put in the volume release as a special gift to the fans for fan service. It never goes into the main story.

This part of the arc is about Asami being taken down, note how the writer left Takaba in a safe place. She could have just written him in. Yet in the copter when Takaba is about to be shot a handcuffed Asami awakes and saves him. How dramatic was that. Was it a sex reunion? That scene was a declaration I felt your need and I am here. Tech. it was not sex but it was sexy to me . Asami looked hot and it fit the plot.

Feilong and Mik . Since the Hk arc on the boat have had a flirting type of relationship. Mik says "I will be troubled if the two of you get together." They are at the poker table talking about the release of Takaba and the deed. Asami says "If you two want to flirt go someplace else".(vol5) When ever Mik has appeared in the manga, he has been shown flirting w/o shame with Fei , Fei knows he wants him. What was Fei's goal with Mik ? to gain info. He got the information. Mik. did not want money, he wanted Fei.

It's not only about advancing plot; it's about taking focus away from primary characters. I don't read View Finder for the story, I read for Asami and Akihito and their romance/adventures. The manga revolves around Asami and Akihito's relationship, as does the story. Mikhail and Fei Long's sexual interlude in this chapter contributed nothing story-wise and also involved two secondary characters. It was purely fan-service, which I didn't mind so much, but given the long stretches between chapters lately, it's understandable that other readers are frustrated. Omakes, papers, and extras that do not pertain to the story may be fluff, but they ARE about Akihito and Asami.

Fei fans been begging sensei for Fei to appear so she finally gave them what they wanted. Thank goodness she also had the sense to condense the content so that everything happens quickly and she can wrap up all Fei's loose ends fast. Notice how ever since Fei reappeared the manga pacing got waaaay faster? Ever since he appeared, he already made amends with Asami and finally closed the chapter on that and also offscreen met up with Yoh and now even slept with Mikhail. And all that just in 5 chapters or less. We had 5 chapters just AxA stuck in their apartment/roof. It's basically what the Fei fans have been asking for so long. So I'm glad we finally moving on from all that after this.

What are you reading? It was important to see how Mikhail and Feilong interacted during sex. There are nuances in how Feilong refused to look at Mikhail and how Mikhail forced him to look, how Mikhail then turned Feilong around and got angry when Feilong reminded him this was all a bargain. The sex scene added tons of subtext for those who are able to see it.
