Okay, but the whole reincarnation trope was so random. The author could have just done, an ex-lover that he was very sentimental about, it still would have worked. And the reincarnation plot would have been more relevant if there was a tie in on the second couple, I kept hoping that the Watari (or even Watanuki) was actually the reincarnated partner, and the reason why he didn't look for Asami was because he already had someone he loved. It'd be more complex, yes, but, that would have seriously been so much better. It just feels like this was such a wasted potential.
