i dont get why they needed to include him forgiving the friend. I get that Japan is a country of non-confrontation and smoothing relations over but even if they didn't intend to sexually assault him that was extremely over the line. I dont get it when rapey shit gets glossed over like that.

I do get him "forgiving" the father though. Sometimes there are no "good" choices. Probably if the manga was longer the mangaka could have gone more in depth. Apart from the rapey friends shit it was a good read.

i do think i want more plot now than sexy stuff but I think this particular sex scene was important to show that they are both going a bit soft for each other. Governor took care of him and then felt bad when he heard him sleeptalk, and ML let loose for the first time and didn't fake reciprocating during sex. Usually when they bone up till now its like two people fucking and arguing at the same time, basically a power game. But this time I think the scene was meant to show how their emotions have gotten more complicated over time towards each other.
