It was a lackluster ending. It felt rushed too...So I get what people are feeling cause so do I...But I guess the sensei wanted this as realistic as possible. Life doesn't always wrap up nicely or with a bang. It can be quite mundane and ordinary. His sickness not being cured completely hits home too...And yet its fitting because that is real life. I feel like their feelings for each other are mutual. Just that Souhei needs a little bit more time because of his traumatic past relationship and Lucas know that he needs to give him some space to think it through.
