this story is wonderful & it's capable of working & being expored due to their individual personalities. mc having trauma & a stubborn streak because that's all he knew & has been lackadaisical with, ml who's pushy & knows how to enforce boundaries, mc's crush & ml's crush - this whole story was frankly only able to be written because of how they are. ntm, this story has quite a few parts where you have to read in between the lines to truly understand the love between them. the moments i dislike & thought was unnecessary, i.e ml stating he's glad mc never confessed, 'else his crush would've accepted him - i knew, it was obvious his crush would've, i j didn't like it being a topic explored here. despite that, it's v "realistic" & it's understandable for ml to ask & broach the topic with mc's crush - it's v on-brand for him to do so due to his more subtle, subtle & "quiet" (not really, lol) possessiveness of mc. it's kind of balanced because mc finds out ml's crush also considered being together with ml too, & if ml had confessed, truly likely ml's crush would've given him another chance as well - but i j disliked it when it felt like they were moving on past that. other moments too - its frustrations & all are frankly realistic considering all of the characters' backgrounds & personalities. i j wish we got to see more happiness & them moving forward in life

i looove her getting more powers omg... & i love yukino. she's a deary & very lovely, but if mashima gives her every power lucy has so easily, i'm gonna start growing some irrational resentment towards her. lucy is the main character who's constantly evolving throughout hundreds of chapters, yet she's being one-upped by a supporting who barely appears in fights in less than... what? 10 chapters? it feels downright disrespectful & mocking towards lucy, idk, especially when you remember her roots of wanting to be in fairy tail & how hard she's worked to be "worthy" of being in fairy tail's strongest team. + i'd j freaking hate it if lucy haters get another reason to dog on lucy for & to call her weak. if mashima gives yukino this power as well, he'd be the same as lucy haters who j dismiss & chuck out of the window all of lucy's struggles & hard work, which would be crazy because HE created all of lucy's struggles & hard work

does he like yuu, or does he like the yuu who's in love with tsubaki? considering his personality, i wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter because yuu & tsubaki's love is drastically different compared to all of his previous ones

i forgot his name - but he's ian's older brother & the guy who had a crush on jiwoo. honestly, because he's hot, despite hating him for what he did to jiwoo during the academy arc, i did hold out hope for him as he seemed to be genuinely fond of jiyoung. however, his growing insecurity & negativity towards jiwoo makes me feel like the fondness is now turning towards the objectification of jiyoung - like she's j a trophy he thought he'd eventually obtain & is upset jiwoo got her first

+ i understand how shounen manhwas go - it's j a repeat of fighting the same kind of villain until the Mastermind Arch Villain Ever comes forward, but if i have to go through ALL of that stupid, arrogant, good-for-nothing, BLIND antagonist again the way we had to with duke, i think i'm seriously gonna raise hands. especially when jiyoung is included in this mix. i'd hate it for her to feel like she's responsible for this freak targeting jiwoo j because she rejected him

i do have a BIT of hope that he won't be as annoying as duke due to him being older, having much more to lose as the direct successor/apprentice, & the way he has been doing a relatively Aight job at hiding his disdain & insecurity, but with the appearance of eclipse & the new person/group who encouraged duke to take it, i'm worried how this will develop his arc

i do j wish the author would give him a redemption arc... we don't get enough of those... the last one was that gravity (?) freak & even his wasn't really a redemption, more of an explanation to his insane bullshit. + this dude is genuinely j really hot & if i was transmigrated into this story, you can bet my ass i'd be doing the most to be the "i can change him!" girl. it'd be nice to see him saving jiwoo, eventually liking jiwoo & becoming rival mentors with jiyoung (as in, he spars his younger brother & when jiwoo & jiyoung go at it, they both argue over who's better - it'd be nice to see him develop a good relationship with jiyoung)
