I feel like I kinda understand why she's acting like this. Although she was angry at the Emperor and his evil deeds, she wanted to destroy him and the Royal Family in a way that was still humane. Sure, she may not feel satisfied even if the Emperor died, but Dylan's way of doing things isn't humane anymore and to her, it could feel quite hypocritical because that was exactly the reason why she was mad at the Emperor in the first place. The Emperor fed her the ehirite then turned her into a sword, if they do the same to the Emperor then doesn't that make them hypocrites? This chapter shows us that despite 'living as a sword' for 400 years, she's still human and knows for herself just how hard and painful it was to live that way. She may be mad and she may have suffered, but she doesn't want others to have to go through the same experience as her. Also, Dylan's actions complicated things and messed her plan up. She knows that his obsession for her is the cause of all this, so that's why she wants to run away, I guess.

That's great character development for me (or maybe it's just because I easily get emotional lmao), I think that's very cute!! I'm so touched and happy for Xiao He and Jing. And FINALLY, after so many chapters of fcking slowburn and awkward but adorable mutual pining, my man Xiao He finally asks her to be his girlfriend!!! I feel like he could've said he likes her first tho, but anw, the scene still made me flustered too for some reason lololol. This chapter makes me feel so giddy, but I'm a little sad for our poor second ML. He just keeps on losing out when it comes to romance, huh. ╥﹏╥
