It really seems like this match is mostly for Eijun to overcome his traumatic experience on last Summer Tournament's match against Inashiro, tbh. The resemblances between this and that match are just a lot (some ppl make threads abt it on twitter) and now we've got this deadball flashback too. Fr tho, I already expected smth like this to happen but I thought it'd be on the the next Finals match against Inashiro.
So seeing all these happen right now, it's a bit shocking and I'm probably overthinking it, but it's like TJ-sensei's own way of saying that Eijun actually still hasn't fully gotten over what happened then (even though he has overcome the yips) so he has to overcome it now in order to face Inashiro without all that baggage. The pressure now is significantly higher afterall, compared to the past Fall tournament when he started to be able to throw inside again. Unlike then, he's 2nd year now, Miyuki and the other 3rd yrs are abt to leave the team soon and graduate, Miyuki and Eijun only have a few more time to spend and play together as a battery in highschool, and he's also the ace of the team now. If Eijun manages to overcome the pressure of both the current situation (pitching after a deadball and towards the cleanup at that) and his past traumas, he'll be able to grow and he'll most likely move on from those worries for the next match against Inashiro.
At the same tine, that moment was actually hanging onto Miyuki as well. Not as much as it had burdened Eijun, but we all know how much Miyuki had regretted not approaching Eijun in the mound and checking up on him sooner back then. We were shown that he regret not noticing that Eijun was practically breaking down by himself, so the fact that he immediately come over instead of taking his time shows that he now understands Eijun better and his own character development too. Besides, that "Partner" part made me start bawling tbh. Initially, he had said that to make Eijun trust in him but now, he's saying that he trusts Eijun. That just really makes me soft, hngg~~~
In other words, now that it has come to this, their battery can face Mei and Inashiro without having to be scared of being reminded of the past and their regrets. TJ-sensei was bound to bring up the deadball incident anyway, so having it brought back here, instead of the Inashiro match, makes me feel a little at ease. If he had the same exact situation happen (throwing a deadball at Shirakawa on the finals match), I don't fcking know how much more pain it'll cause my heart. o(╥﹏╥)o
On another note, I really hope that he could get consecutive strikeouts. I mean, I feel sad for Amahisa and Ichidai ngl, but I badly want Eijun to finish this game much more quickly because I feel like if it gets dragged on, he might get hurt or injured somehow. TJ-sensei seriously scares me. (งᵒ皿ᵒ)ง⁼³₌₃

Omfg this chapter fcking made me scream and laugh. Who would've thought that Shidou's into biology? Anw, I honestly thought I wouldn't be surprised by his words anymore especially with his blatant flirting with Sae previously, but damn Shidou, this is just too much. "Right in the womb"? Seriously? I didn't think I signed up to watch someone impregnating the net, since I was just hoping to see some Isagi puzzle pieces action against the U-20. Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

I'm sorry but after catching up on the novel, I just can't help but laugh at Cale as I read through the manhwa. I pity him, but at the same time, I kinda want to make fun of him for his thoughts and choices in life, haha. That Slacker life really isn't within reach, my poor Young Master Silver Shield. ( ̄∇ ̄")

Most recently translated one, 600+. I can't really remember the specific chapter number, but I also keep tabs on the spoiler thread for the summaries on recent releases. Anw, ikr. You're really going to feel complicated about Cale and his struggles, because he's usually coughing out blood and fainting (even though he says that he doesn't particularly feel much pain, at first) but at the same time, the author finds a way to make the story seem quite light and humorous despite the seriousness of the current scenes. I'm just glad he's trying to open up and rely on others now, too.

I don't really feel like the plot's going anywhere too so far, tbh. But I'm sticking around for the chemistry and dynamic between Rias and Lippe~~~ I love how Lippe can act her current age (like freely and kinda immaturely as a child or smth) whenever she's with Rias, and vice versa. It's like Lippe doesn't need to set up walls around him and she herself unconsciously feels like she can trust and depend on him because throughout the moments that we've seen them together, it's always been them helping each other out or Rias saving her. On the other hand, even with Hal or others that are specifically older than her, she always acts so mature and dependable for her current age. So I just really love her dynamic with Rias and fully support it if she ends up with him (although I'm feeling second ML syndrome with Hal, too, haha).

Aww, Weisz confronting Laguna and telling him that he'll kill him if any of his crew gets killed. Seriously tho, his character development is gonna make me cry. He was introduced, threatening Shiki and Rebecca, then when he joined Edens Zero, he seemed like just the typical perverted genius addition to the crew and even kept denying that he's Shiki's friend, but now... TT^TT
And, Jinn and Kleene panels~~~ I'm so soft for these siblings. T﹏T
Anyway, this fight is gonna be so hypeeee!!!!! Hoping that none of the crew dies and that we get to see more of the results of their training. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Wait, before I jump into the "Claude you Sleeping Beauty mf, wake up!" and the "idk I still don't like Jeanette but this chapter is so pure" trains, I just find it funny that the first few panels is Lucas' realization that HE could be the cause of the Empire's destruction that Athy dreamt about. And tbh, when I read that, I thought about how it's 100% possible that Athy's dream is actually what'll take place in the future in the case that smth did happen to her. Like,, this man is just constantly thinking abt how he can simply kill everyone (except for Athy) because it's "easy" for him, but NO, he has to stay back to keep that mfing Claude alive because that's "what Athy wants". Idk I just think it's funny whenever he thinks like that, hehe~ He's seriously in a league of his own already, when compared to other MLs imo. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Anw, obligatory... Wake tf up, Claude!! I wanna take screenshots of you already, SERIOUSLY. I miss doing that after every panels of you in every chapter. T~T Someone go get me some manhwa-world-transporter or smth so I can just kiss this damned Sleeping Beauty and wake him up already! (งᵒ皿ᵒ)ง⁼³₌₃
Ok, it's been foreshadowed in Chapter 4 with three panels that seem very likely to be about this scene. Sick Woojin, worried or sad or scared Haegyung, and an old man saying "Are you out of your mind?" So the grandfather's def the reason why Haegyung left Woojin and wouldn't even come visit their hometown for 8 years. I think since Woojin's family is part of the National Assembly or smth like that, his grandfather is most likely conservative and homophobic (since the two are both still young and of the same gender). Whatever the grandfather did, it obviously caused enough trauma for Haegyung to think that his kiss is a jinx, especially since he was caught in the act of kissing Woojin (who was either asleep so he didn't know or too sick to remember what happened atm). It isn't exactly confirmed either if it was Haegyung's ex that told Woojin about the jinx, so what if it was also the Grandfather that told Woojin, in order to make him stop coming after Haegyung? Either way, I just pity Haegyung so much. He really doesn't deserve any of this. Since chapter 1, all I've seen is him suffering, so I really feel bad for him. :(((
