I’m really mad at Mirans parents and her mentor. How do you see your child lock herself in her room, barely eat, her hair gets overgrown, her room is trashed and you don’t do anything? You just stand there as she becomes more and more depressed and suicidal? And her mentor. He probably knew to some extent that the koto was the only thing she had left, saw how she became more and more angry and reactive and instead of having a talk with her, guiding like a mentor would he just left her like that. No it evens seems like he encouraged and fuelled that behaviour almost. I understand why the readers don’t like her but she was(is) a child that is in desperate need of therapy and the adults around keep on failing her again and again. It’s really sad. Also for the girl blowing up at her she’s right but also a teenagers gonna think they’re the centre of the universe that’s just teenager stuff.

I reached chapter 26 and I had to drop it. This story is so weird. The author presents us with a criminal that has done the worst of the worst possible crimes right? Like we have established that he is the bad guy but the author keeps on hyping him up and having him be this incredible larger than life figure. It’s like he gets so into writing him as an almost superhero that he has to catch himself and remind himself that this guy sucks.
And then with that whole mom thing. The victims of his crimes attack her, which while not justified is also not unexpected, and he gets revenge? What right does he have to get revenge? You knew that you were the worst of the worst you knew that your past was coming after you and you didn’t do anything to protect your mom. That’s on you, rapist. And then to go like you don’t deserve to beg for forgiveness girl piss off. And after all of that what happens? He gets rewarded with sex and with the assurance that he is a good person after all.
Absolute tucking bullshit. This manga is trying to gaslight people into believing that’s it’s Deep and has some great things to say about forgiveness and repentance but it doesn’t. It’s just another wish fulfilment fantasy for degenerates

I can handle stories like these just fine when they are done tastefully. This story presents rape, bullying and violence for the sake of being shocking and edgy. The fact that the mc is the perpetrator and feels no guilt or remorse for his actions other than when they catch up to him and never tries to apologise or make up for them is, in my opinion, the authors way of minimising his actions.
If you like this story because it makes you fell tough then so be it. But the tired argument of “oh you are just a crybaby you can’t handle it” is very immature. If you don’t agree with my criticism then offer counter arguments. Don’t try to make yourself the tough badass that doesn’t get affected by anything.

Not only you dropped it at the beginning but when someone tells you something, you're being an asshole, maybe you read stories to feel things about yourself but doesn't mean everyone is like yourself, you're really projectibg so hard lol. Read my comment properly and understand, I commented only because you assumed everyone is being gaslighted into thinking it's good when it's not the case and yeah you're a crybaby, also immature too

Maybe you should have continued. You missed the point of the manga. The rest of the manga details his atonement-- if you can even call it-- and his regrets, and author barely gives him any mercy, which addresses the exact problem that you mentioned bothered you about the story. The weight of his guilt crushed him until the day he died.
I feel kinda bad for Callis. Thinking about the events from the story from his perspective, one day a random girl shows up, he gets feelings for her out of nowhere, does all that shit to Seria starts being homicidal and all that other shit. Like, hopefully now that he isn’t being manipulated anymore he can be a descent person at least
