ok i just finished reading this on toomics and i gotta say that this was a well thought-out plot but it just lacked that catharsis which is kinda disappointing, i rly had high hopes for this. also they all look the same

basically it's found out that the reason for gaeul's suicide is because of haneul, the little brother. we see the whole time from haneuls POV that his older brother was always treated better and more carefully, but from gaeul's POV he saw that his little brother was always suffering and missing out on his own childhood bc he was restricted of sm things due to gaeul's illnesses (as we saw, e.g. that school trip he desperately always wanted to go to but he couldn't bc the parents said if his brother couldn't then he couldn't either).
from what i remember gaeul's condition was never specified, and when he came to the boarding school he was free from the guilt and pressure of his family's adoration for him, that's where he fell in love w that dude he used to sleep with and befriended the reading club. i can't rly remember the rest but i think what happened was that dude whos always had a crush on gaeul's boyfriend got mad at gaeul sleeping w him so he made the reading club start to exile him in obscure and mean ways until the point of his suicide (NOT 100% ON THIS BUT I THINK THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED)
anywayz main point is gaeul khs bc of haneul </3

but more importantly this scene feels too rushed and non-consensual yikes

i'm pre sure this is the real hwan??? like we know he's had a crush on chiwoo since they were young (from ~ch 10/11) which was set wayyyy before chiwoo made his wish, they just never talked abt it

you're right ! she's his cousin:) so not quite as close to a blood-related sister, but she's still family:/ hopefully she's a distant cousin and what he has for her is more like admiration or the way a lost puppy feels when it comes across a caring person for the first time...hopefully he's a little confused and a certain teacher can show him the light...
