There's no explicit warning for any of the flashback chapters but everything feels really vague and it barely even shows him getting beat up, I just can't wrap my head around what actually happened in the basement. At some point just beating him up has to get boring for Peter right? But we don't see him using any other kinds of physical torture like ripping out nails, waterboarding, whatever. Wtf was Peter doing the whole time in the basement with Victor?
Yes, pretty sure he was. Although not explicitly shown, it was hinted he was. I remember there was also a chapter where they mentioned his addiction to sex happened after escaping formicarium (don't remember the ch tho). So, his addiction to it is most likely a trauma response wherein he wants to feel superior/ in control whenever it happens, thus, he is dominant in bed.

I don't feel their chemistry. It could be any other type of character that the author lied to and it would probably unfold in the same way. Nobody really had a distinct personality besides the author, but I guess that's what the manga is going for?
