why have i loved choi joowon since the start, in between, and to the end? because regardless of his actions, his intentions were ALWAYS genuine.

he fell in love with his step brother. normally you'd discipline your feelings right? but he was a kid (immature and naive) so to protect haesoo (being gay is taboo bullshit) he chooses to act like the bad guy and offer the "no strings attached" protocol. but imagine all the restraint and frustration he had to go through because of that decision he made. he loves his step brother but he's also "sorry for loving" him because society and his parents would clearly intervene. at the same time, he also couldn't suppress his true feelings and so he ravishes haesoo's body with a pretence of a casual physical relationship in order to not only secure haesoo's societal image but to also rebel with his emotions.

"i love him but i won't tell him. but that doesn't mean i won't show him"

in the end, joowon's only ever thought of haesoo both romantically and generally. haesoo's mom was a bitch we gotta be honest. she abandoned her son for being gay and also, not once, supported his dream of becoming a writer. but who's the only person who valued haesoo as whole? the only person who supported haesoo's goals in life and never once judged him for his choices? JOO FUKCING WON.

i aint talking about romance anymore people. i'm talking about a relationship that offers supports and genuine backbone.

joowon was more of a family to haesoo than his mom ever was. LET THAT FUCKING SINK IN

Omg wait did I thumbs down? Also, yes! You explained Joowon's love very well! The "i love him but i won't tell him. but that doesn't mean i won't show him." Lit rally summarizes Joowon's feelings to Haesoo the whole time. I mean, I admit that his ways were too much, but he was always genuine and the only person who valued Haesoo as a person from the start and supported him no matter what. His first priority was always Haesoo and that was clearly emphasized in the last chapter. He truly loved him. So all of you shut up and bring the cake and flowers and play the wedding song

bah-hah ❤ December 15, 2020 4:16 pm

FUCK YEAHHHHH
also the fact that haesoo said "i'm sorry for loving you" is so fucked up. noone should ever feel apologetic for falling in love. i passionately hope they' both become happy

    ashitaka December 15, 2020 4:43 pm

Yes yes yes yes !!!!!!! dont apologize for loving the best man in this world dude...

jieun spoilers

When Tia was executed and Jieun was shown to have no traits applicable with her status as empress, the entire empire was in chaos. Ruve, in particular, became anxious as he slowly sobered up from the poison duke Zenna kept giving him throughout the years, which is the main cause of his constant mood swings and anger issues. Because of that, he was able to put all the events together and realize duke Zenna was behind everything all along. With the death of Tia, the aristocratic faction (pro-emperor party) weakened while the nobility faction (anti-emperor/duke Zenna's party) rose to power. And because Jieun was pregnant, a new heir would be born therefore it wouldn't be long for Ruve to be made rid of. So when duke Zenna assassinated Ruve, by law, Zenna was able to gain authority as the new ruler because Jieun's child was incapable of doing so. In the end, Zenna killed Jieun along with her child.

Jieun's main goal is to inflict revenge on duke Zenna but we have to keep in mind that when she was offered a second life after dying (like Tia) she basically took the chance right on the spot. Like just when she died and lost her child, she ended up in that dreamlike place and spoke to Vita (holy being) with high adrenaline, an impulsive mindset, and a whole lot of desperation. She made actions based on her emotions (being killed together with her child, being hated for her mistakes, ruve comparing her to tia).

In the end though, she regrets having a second life because she wasn't able to see her family again.

feel free to ask questions if there are things you're curious of. it doesn't have to be questions about jieun.

Woww.. thanks vm.. I just realize that Tia friend (Entea) and carsein personality somehow match so if you say they will get married, I'm very happy for them and I guess it will be quite a good couple(?) And as long as carsein doesn't get toss aside alone, I'm okay as long as his character get a good ending too..(⊙…⊙ )
