That was too quick of a solution & wrap-up to the story. Even if there is an up coming volume.
Going from c16 to c17, I think the author just wanted to end this story because it was getting too stupid to follow.
They were rutting so much in 2 pages and then both immediately switch off their libido and all perfectly clothed. The kidnapper's agenda was thrown in as an added side piece, but I wouldn't have cared if he died before giving us his reasons for his actions.
