Idk and mc keeps talking about these "games" does he mean that he thinks every shit he gets himself into is a fun little game or does he mean it literally and he is playing a vr game or something, but overall the story is pretty fun
From what I understand the present is Mikhail and Golden Dragon meeting as the prince makes the wish. Chapters with academy are the past (exactly the last one year when the Golden Dragon was Adrian) and the past with Carlo happened like 200-300 years ago from the present. "Games" are simply then events in which the Golden Dragon takes human form and is just toying with humans (like Lux having the mercenary guild and then wiping them out during the war for the dungeon because he just got bored or this life; next game after like 200+ years since running mercenary guild Lux is playing again and meeting Carlo - the founder of the empire and great great grandpa of Mikhail - making him king and also making him insane in the process and then just leaving cuz he got bored; being Adrian was also a game but he ended it after only a year cuz he probably got scared that this game might get entangled with previous one and people would find out he's a dragon and we can tell dragons are not omnipotent and don't know everything after all).
