Good ending. I like how she was going for "trust," knowing he was a piece of shit killer and self-centered arrogant criminal boss. That he got feelings for her at the end is perfect: now he'll suffer forever missing her. Plus go to prison. Yay.

If you had been a slave and a chance to be able to be ABOVE everyone, untouchable, even your previous owners, it would be tempting.
Rashta is dumb and overreaching, but she didn't have any of the advangages Sovieshu or Navier had. She yearns. Her mistake was to want more and more and more, greed and envy. It will destroy her.
Sovieshu has NO excuse. He had ALL the advantages, a conmpetent Empress helping him rule who cared for him. He is the main villain. He manipulated Rashta (easy to do). He insulted Navier, demeaned her, instead of getting HER advice on a plan for an heir.
Sovieshu caused this, start to end. It wlll destroy him, too. But he deserves it.
He doesn't give two shits for Rashta. It's all about what he wants: a temporary empress for a permanent heir. And all the casualties don't matter to him. He never intended to keep Rashta. He intended to keep Navier.
But he's an utter bastard to mess with two women for his own purposes and not treat them well. Rashta is no saint, but she's ultimately a puppet. EVERYONE uses her. And she won't have the escape option Navier does.

Yes, but Rashta's responsibility cannot ever rise to the level of Sovieshu. She has been used all her life, so she's using now. I honestly can't blame her. What I blame her for is reaching for too much. She could have had a great life as just a concubine who treated Navier with respect. But, again, she is not educated and, unlike Navier, is not acquainted for long with the machinations of the rich and powerful. Like it or not, she began as a victim who became a victimizer. But Sovieshu began at the top and victimizes those beside and below. Hope he goes to hell.
And keep in mind when you have NO money and NO power but have BEAUTY...beauty is all you can use to survive. You must rely on that or die.
