I really liked this manga, but i get why most people were disapointed, i mean, they really talk about important things like moving on and growing up, but y'all just care about the sex...

    Maiphallei May 21, 2017 3:06 am

I don't really care if sex is in it or not. It was amusing, and characters likeable and it had good meaning before the lesson they wanted to give. I'm just disappointed with the lack of, for better words, the lovey-dovey-ness. The story had promise, but I like reading romance story where the romance show somehow. Not just the characters shouting "I love you" or "I like you". I like seeing the couples become couples, with or without sex. That's what's disappointing here. (I would love a good BL without the sex, not easy to find though. :P)

no, just... no! I dont see the appeal in those kinds of stories??? it doesnt look like they love each other at all and its just stressful! fighting all the time is not healthy and its not love!!! its just stupid!

Tuhermana July 13, 2016 5:19 am

but its scanned so badly it stressed me out!!!! and it also made me a little sad when they mentioned the thing about fulfilling a girls fantasies, but its straight girls fantasies... I read this kind of manga because I am part of the lgbt+ community and we dont get good representation in mainstream media, so i thought maybe yaoi mangas would, but its not realistic at all... man, im just hurt and stressed Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

As a fellow member of the LGBT community and someone who has more contact with gay men more than heteros, I feel you. What keeps my heart light is the fact that homosexuality, even in a hetero girls fantasy, is being discussed openly and with acceptance. In a country as socially reserved as Japan this is a step that our community might never be able to take without the help of this genre. Think of it this way, those girls will one day be women and mothers and less likely to condemn their children, or the children of others, for homosexuality because their minds were opened through this fantasy manga, right? Small steps lead to great destinations.

    justme January 13, 2017 11:59 pm

I was thinking the same thing when he kissed little Al. Like, boi, ain't you already sinning?....or is sinning fine as long as no one finds out? Lmaoo

    Mameiha January 12, 2018 8:27 pm

There is nothing in the bible that specifically calls pedophilia a sin. In fact, once a female has her first period, in the bible, she is no longer a child. So, by rights, a man can take a bride as young as nine as long as she has had her period. In the Torah, the age for adulthood is thirteen. This is what a bar mitzvah and bat mitzvah celebrate. The Christian bible says nothing of age restrictions aside from the menstrual period, but there are several passages condemning homosexuality. Since that is the case, a male's age would never be an issue because homosexuality would be seen as the greater sin to pedophilia. Which is why I may study the bible academically, but I will never use it as a literal "how to manual" for life.

no..not a bad grampa. it is normal in many cultures. learn more then speak

    Tuhermana September 28, 2016 1:15 am

it may be normal, but its still not ethical, bringing a child to a bar puts them in danger, especially if the one drinking is the one taking care of the child

It's not always right to bring a child to a bar, but my parents brought me on several occasions, and watched me well, and I of course was never in danger of anything except maybe being over spoiled by happy go lucky drunks that had a soft spot and an open wallet for kids. Not all parents neglect their children. And as the other person said, it's normal in several cultures, and to add that, those cultures don't see it as unethical. It may not be the norm here in the US but it's definitely not illegal or unethical up to a certain time of day. You should maybe try to figure out why it's okay to bring a child to a bar before you criticize?

    Tuhermana October 18, 2016 4:41 pm

again: it may be normal, but its still not ethical, they could get hurt, drunk people often get violent

    Tuhermana October 18, 2016 4:42 pm

and even if it didnt happen to you, it could happen to other people

A lot of restaurants serve alcoholic drinks too and some people get drunk, but it's still okay to bring kids there. My mum, for example, likes to bring me along with her and her co workers to these barbecue places where most people drink and eat and just have a good time. She would drink too, but she always makes sure that she's not too drunk to take good care of me. I never got in trouble. I guess it just all depends on the adults to make sure that they don't get too drunk to take care of their kids.

    kurosaki November 6, 2016 10:35 pm

    What an ignorant comment O.o
That is absolutely normal in many cultures, especially in close communities where everyone knows everyone; and it would only be unethical if the person got drunk to the point of endangering the child. The ethnocentric close-mindedness of people is what has the world so fucked up.... smh

Tuhermana July 7, 2016 12:28 am

maaaaan i hope the twins get together too!

Tuhermana July 6, 2016 3:33 am

if there was people on that island, then couldnt someone else invented technology for them? i mean, they could have killed them but then people would start to realise that inventors are getting killed... so yeah

    Latte-chan January 2, 2017 1:07 am

Necaessity is the mother of invention. If they only live on a small island they dont need to invent areoplanes. They don't need to expand their island if it isn't overpopulated and they don't need to invent thesatalight phone if they don't have the rest of the wolds phone numbers. For all we know they do have the cure for cancer at every street stall but we just didn't see it in the story.

    YaoiLife August 10, 2018 8:36 pm

Development of modern technology has depended on people from all over the world building on each other's inventions and a desire to connect all the far corners of the globe, so it make sense that Edo wouldn't have it yet, since they're completely isolated. There are still a few isolated uncontacted tribes in the world, from what little we know about them, they're still using very primitive technology. If people from Toyko smuggled it in, they'd be risking their lives and it would defeat the point of keeping the island a secret.
