I didnt mind at all that the characters cross dressed (though i still prefer shouta with short hair) because you still got that "these are men" vibe. Like i just love that so much because usually i hate manga about cross dressers because they become women. Its no longer a "this is just the persona i like to take or the way i like to dress" they portray them as basically always being women which is just very innacurate from the experience that ive had with drag queens and cross dressers. Super refreshing, i loved everything about it
I came to reread and almost didn't because I saw I had given it 3 stars (I really should trust my ratings) so I started and was like "wtf this is great 5 stars for sure" but then... then chapter 5 came around. A year? Really? You lived with someone you didn't like for literally no fucking reason for an entire year? You couldn't just say "hey I don't like this and I'm not ready for marriage" if you didn't want to admit liking a man? I call bs and I think this author just put that in there because she was out of ideas. Japan is not like that for anyone going to tell me otherwise, and damnit this story was so perfect (to me) until that came about and I just... *sigh* I wanna cry
I'm saying what was the point. Why even live with that woman for a year? So his parents could see he really wasn't interested in that woman? To buy himself some time? It makes no damn sense to stay with someone an entire year just to prove to your parents you done like them. And the next marriage arrangement they set up? Another year with another woman? That part of the plot is frankly, idiotic.
But I mean next time? There's always going to be pressure. They're always going to want to set him up with another girl. Then what? He just takes year long breaks from his lover to go live with someone else who he could potentially marry? It doesn't make sense fam

Like wtf? Firstly, you are not living for your parents. You live for yourself. You are in no need for their constant approval of every move you make in your life. Like dude srsly, are you gonna ask them to hold you a candle while you have sex?? Secondly, I mean no disrespect towards the real couple but this relationship is kinda toxic. His ex blackmailed, manipulated and assaulted him. It was all in the flashbacks in chapter 4. He met Misaki in High School. Chiaki had posed nude for a shady guy to earn money to help his dad, but the guy posted the pics online and Misaki saw them. He used the pics as blackmail material and said he would tell Chiaki's dad about them if he disobeyed him. That was the basis of their relationship. Chiaki is despondent over his situation and realizes he is in love with the fat version of Kou. This is where Chiaki gets his attraction to fat men, they remind him of Kou in High School. Misaki first assaults Chiaki after he notices his friendship with Kou and gets jealous. When Chiaki's dad dies, Chiaki can now be free of Misaki and he breaks up with him. He tries to have sex with other men who remind him of Kou, but he realizes it isn't what they look like that matters, they are not Kou. Shortly thereafter, he meets up with the new, thin version of Kou while waiting for someone from a dating site. Chiaki thinks Kou is the person from the site and they have sex and go on a date to a wrestling match. Chiaki figures out that this person with him is Kou, probably from his speech and mannerisms. They have both been in love with each other since high school, so things go somewhat smoothly until Kou finds Chiaki under a fat customer. They fight and make up when Chiaki dresses as a girl. At that point they become an official couple.
No sorry maybe i should of been more clear. Will kou ever find out what happened? And again why show the scene of the ex cutting his hair if its never going to lead to anything?
