I meant as Jen's Dad has said, the fact that she is from royal family and the background of her birth is not supposed to be known to other people, which she just revealed to a supposed to be stranger Atty's act towards her is already on the right track.

The "annoying" bit is pretty much Alice being coy, just trying to get Aiden to see her as a woman since she's too afraid of confessing herself. Although there are some other annoying bits, Aiden and Alice are really adorable together.
