Threesomes are my favorite yaoi fantasies for manga, so I loved this from the start regardless of how twisted and bad it was for Mine (and that part was good in its own way), but even in manga it's hard to find a threesome that's more than a smutty fling; in other words an actual relationship of three people together. This manga not only gives that, but in an unusual way since (at first) all three of them aren't real lovers and don't like each other. IMO at the end all three find love for each other (even if just to some degree, like for MineXTake; or friend/bro love like Take and Hiroi)

from the horror tag, I was expecting the girl to actually kill/torture her classmates. I was expecting more blood, lol like the weirdo I am...of course there could be something like what I was expecting later on, so I can't wait to see how the revenge plot goes.
Spoiler?:
Even though I was a bit disappointed there was no horror-like killing going on, I do like that her revenge is really just digging up everyone's dirty laundry to undo them, really karma is a bi#ch!

also the ch.1 is the same as ch.0 until this page:

Going into it, I actually expected myself to be bawling; and I rarely tear up. Not that the story isn't sad, and I'm sure some will cry like babies at this, but mostly there was a bittersweet and hopeful message that was truly beautiful. The sadness never overpowered the love in this story, so I felt the ending was rather inspiring and a true testament to how one should live life. I loved the line about how(paraphrasing) 'no matter how tragic my fate I will live and keep smiling' was

Enigma is the only word I can think of to describe this. I understand the plot, yet it's still baffling (like much of this world's mysteries) so I am left somewhat unsatisfied with the ending and story progression, but overall the thought process behind this manga--even if some factors hindered the story--was a masterpiece. Some dimensions of the characters were annoying, but flaws make a human; I loved the twist, and the gender ambiguity of the protagonist. I think everyone should at least give it a go, see if you like it.

Sorry, I completely wish I hadn't read this. It pissed me off. Rain and the other anonymous are SO right, after all.

No need to apologize, I was pissed off a lot from the ending too, and see why Rain (and other commenters) have this opinion. I felt the whole idea/story of the manga is interesting enough for readers to give it a try--especially if they go in knowing they probably won't like the ending--because this story brought forth a lot of cool ideas and story development that kept me second guessing myself, so regardless of the ending and characters I was glad to have given it a chance.

I acctually liked the movie, because usually I don't like live action adaptations, but it didn't have Kiriyama! If it did it would have been awesome, but still for a movie adaptation it was pretty good. While I understand why people want to compare the hunger games to this, it's an easy way to get the similar government forces kids to kill each other plot across to new audiences, but this has the awesome Japanese horror touch and psychological aspects the hunger games can't touch. Sadly American writers and directors don't really include this kind of psychological horror unless in a few slasher/horror flicks, so there isn't any gory psychological films/books like Battle Royale in America, even if the hunger games has a similar plot.

Ikr?! And this was way better than hunger games plus it's totally obvious which influenced which. To me at least hunger games seems like a bad imitation of BR.And i totally agree about the america cinema etc comment with most obvious example "the ring" and im so glad im not the only one thinks that way!

Σ( ̄□ ̄||) I'm really bad at remembering names while watching movies (and I watched the movie first, so I remember the names after reading the manga) so I didn't realize Kiriyama WAS in the movie! #-.-)
but still, my main points of how different his character/role in the manga v.s. the movie is still valid and how the story in BR is so psychologically intriguing that other countries' (esp. hollywood) media/films/books have a lack of.
Thanks for correcting me, I just felt after reading the manga that Kiriyama's Badass-ness was not translated to film and had to comment.

I just recently saw the movie for this Big Hero 6 ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2245084/) and it is soooooo gooood! This one shot is really cute and is a nice backstory/prequel to the story of Big Hero 6.I Highly recommend everyone to see it.

In a world...where psychic powers have been tested and developed for military use, a high school made up of only psychic powered students will enter the war and become the first psychics in the battlefield.
^^what I got so far, it looks promising and though a bit overdone hopefully won't get too cliche.
Every time this page makes me laugh at that 'Grunt' SFX
