An older brother who had to suffer from shitty parents and still strive to be acknowledged. Like, im so happy that he met Souta. My heart calls for him everytime he makes that sad face. Like let me embrace you and tell you that you're your own person and Souta loves you as you very much, Makoto. I hope he calls your name more and more until he's overwritten Hajime's presence. Besides, as brothers you've got each other only as family because both of you were oppressed by your shitty parents' exoectations. And please, leave that godforsaken house. Live with Souta

A modern man who's dependent of his modern life... Welp, he is very much aware of this and tries in his own way to learn Qaltaqa's culture and language. If it ended in the first volume, I'd feel bad because it's just telling me that those rooted in their culture are the only one adapting to the modern world. But since Ryou went to Lutah and learned more of Qaltaqa's culture, I've become somewhat satisfied. Besides, as someone in humanities, I can relate to his insecurity. What is ideal is different to what reality keeps slapping in our faces. Our words will often fail us and love does not only concern one person or the couple, there will always be family and society. That's why I'm glad Qaltaqa has found his weakness in Ryou while Ryou found his strength in Qaltaqa.

Also, seeing as their culture is soulful, I'm sure they'll be grounded even if they learn more of Japan or of the world. I'm seriously in love with this even if reality isn't as kind nor beautiful as this.

Im sorry for my gloomy review, I really do love this.

Daniel wasnt written well. Being a nerd who suddenly strayed from being an achiever? There's a chunk of information missing that's why in majority of the story he was just loose. Like that's it, he's an asshole. Then there's Logan who's average yet more interesting than Daniel. He confronted everything Daniel did headfirst. A kiss? Sex? Realizing he wasnt even seen as a friend after 25 years? Like, i expected him to at least throw a punch once.

But well, Logan, being straightforward and levelheaded, dealt with Daniel's disillusion until he actually told Daniel that he wasnt in love with Ed. And since he woke up from that delusion, he saw Logan as his compass to recalibrate his purpose in life. Logan, being mature and in love with this lost little lamb, accepted him. Bottomline is, Logan looks more like the overachiever and Daniel's brain was missing most of the time in this story.

This is a good break from emotional stories that I'm used to.

you know i never saw it like that. I always thought Daniel was being the most "adult/mature" one compared to Logan in the beginning. Daniel was always straightforward with Logan, but then we had Logan getting disillusioned with a kiss or after they had sex. He was being clingy & expecting more when Daniel just saw him as a sex friend. It's at the end that we see Daniel break down...

But i never saw it the way you put it. In reality, Logan was the mature one, while Daniel was being the immature one the entire time

That's true, Logan wanted to experience sex and since Daniel gave him that he began to pry Daniel's sex life. So I suppose Daniel was more mature at the beginning until he realized he was idealizing Ed to be someone he's not. But Daniel wasnt really straightforward about their friendship being a lie. If Logan didnt think that maybe Daniel was in love with him, Daniel wouldnt even confess about his "love" for Ed

Your last statement is contradicting tho. I was emphasizing that Logan was indeed more mature than Daniel as the story progressed. Or did your mix up their name?

Besides stories without a redemption arc, I dislike inconsistency. It seems the author changed their mind along the way, forgetting that the mother is murderous and the son is supposedly quick-witted and protective. The author also forgot that Sohoo has no need to feel insecure since Merry has told him that it wasnt his fault that his father died. Sohoo also knew that Merry had an accident in the elevator but then the author made it that he wasnt aware. Im not touched nor moved by the ending because the the author deviated from the plot which they built up. It wasnt satisfying because instead of committing to a quickwitted and courageous Sohoo, the author made it that he ran away. What was the point of being freed by your nightmares and giving justice to the death of your lover’s father if you run away? They both had a future even without giving up. Now the mother doesnt even get the final blow like she should have.

Ughhh this story is so frustrating.

This was short but i get it, it's a side story. Also, the sex scene killed me HAHAHA tbh, i was satisfied when Wooyi(?) became a tattoo artist and Aeyon became a florist. Like this romantic and flustered virgin boy was used by that bitch and now he's with someone who covered up his scars with what he loves (flowers). And this love-depraved boy finally gets to be in love with someone who loves him back . Seeing Jaemin and Yuri again is nice hehehe, especially that scene where I know that Yuri felt belonged to a family instead of running away. There's this woman i dont know tho, the one next to Dunno (or maybe im just imagining things).

P. S Im glad that bitch is suffering and Aeyon protected his fists and didnt fight for her anymore. It's sad to see him beaten up but that's more like atoning for that things he did. And also, since he's a flustered virgin, i guess he didnt do anything to Jaemin beyond kissing and manhandling. And yep, Jaemin is really amazing

P. P. S. I expected Aeyon to be tougher or a typical masculine boy but I guess thats only because he was pleasing that bitch. For sure, he was truly kind and gentle who had a heart for the vulnerable. Too bad he had to toughen himself in a bad way, that's why I'm glad to see him be true to himself.

The only intended ugly boi I'll ever truly love For once I get an ugly boi who knows how to stand up for himself and point out how the bullies are at fault. Like, yeah! Why the hell are the bullies not given faces and instead the bullied are blaming those who are attractive or those that the bullies use as an excuse to bully. Im glad Aeyon broke up with that woman because she was a bully through and through. She hurt Junggyeon(?) and used Aeyon's feelings to get what she wants.

Besides Jaemin really tried his best and he didnt give up on Yuri. I was truly frustrated and furious whenever he had to deal with bullies and misunderstandings. Like fuck, Aeyon raped him or assaulted him right? And its good that Yuri went back cause my heart shattered for him when he was misunderstood. That's why protect Jaemin at all cost Yuri, I know he saved you from total ruin, too. That man wont betray you, Yuri.

Also, Heeno and that archer has a very, very problematicbrelationship but at least chili pepper doesnt have to be caught up in their drama. Gah. Let them suffer and grow, their future looked bright enough.

P. S. Them comic lovers are so cute HAHAHA glad they got through their rough patch.

And hey, what did happen to Dunno and Kang?

FD0 May 9, 2020 8:17 am

Maybe their thought processes didnt mainfest enough for me to fully understand them. I get the gist of their insecurities and their idealogies about themselves and their relationship but the ending felt rushed. I know Sihoon is insecure and his love language is messed up. If that was slightly more fleshed out at the end, maybe i can feel that "looking for a crack" analogy. But i expected a little more conflict when they met. I guess since Junyoung slept with someone who looked like Sihoon, I know he'll fall for him soon enough.

This is just me, so bear that in mind.

That 4yrs distance was an opportunity to flesh out their age gap. Like the process of Junyoung reaching out for his ambitions and being independent but still yearning for Sihoon. And Sihoon being all adult and mature but yearning for the vibrancy of Junyoung, like a missing piece of his life. Also, the yellowhaired guy couldve had a character exposure where he learns to let go of Junyoung and just be a friendm. Then maybe if Sihoon returned and saw them together then misunderstands, maybe he'd try looking for that crack he hoped to see upon his return. That if he showed Junyoung how insecure he was and was made aware of Junyoung's desire of independence and achievement then they could meet halfway. Like a closure where they've sort themselves out and are ready to commit to a relationship where they think more of each other than their own. But, well, that didnt happen...

That's why when they just got together at the end, it felt unjustified.

Thanks for the analogy. I totally agree with you. If the after breakup arc was given more story time, it would make their make up justifiable. Im still glad that Junyoung was happy in the end but just like what you said, it felt unjustified.

The premise was Chunsam woke up being 19 even when he slept as a child. He is homeschooled and cant communicate with others well. Then the author made it that Chunsam learns to be proactive with chasing Mingyun, but this doesnt really last because soon he doesnt even confront Mingyun. So, then it only became about Mingyun and Chunsam not communicating at all. Also, there's this confusing panels that are actually dreams, illusions or whatever. Like, they just happen and it throws me off.

Anyway, here are my personal thoughts of Mingyun.

lets make this clear: Mingyun is mentally ill.

Someone depraved of love and abused wouldnt know how to have a healthy relationship. We already knew that when he compared feeding a straycat to feeding Chunsam. Then , as explained by that bisexual ass, it is easier to capture someone with a broken heart because they'll be weak to comfort. Mingyun doesnt know love, so of course he'll be twice as vulnerable to being manipulated like that. I still cant get over how he tried to kill himself because that hits hard.

That being said, Mingyun did develop paranoia and will have a more difficult relationship with Chunsam. He doesnt speak his mind as well so that's double trouble. I wouldve seriously hated this if Mingyun didnt have self-awareness.

This is such a perfect summary and explanation for this story

FD0 May 7, 2020 6:16 am

he looks so hurt and tired but still motovated to live. like after watching him be miserable then assaulted by Chang then having to see Mcqueen after that... gah, i hope to see him stronger. cause even if im interested in Chang (and his twisted expression of love or desire), the human in me will always want things to go well for Ed

Most manhwa's Ive read had a slow burn, or at least gives you filler chapters where MCs connect emotionally or physically. This one was more of a plot outline for an author to see the overview of important events. Fillers were needed when Brandt and Donelly get over their distaste for male nudity. tbh, it was too quick of a jump for Brandt to get hard in front of Donelly (like why?). also, Nick and the whole company was quick to catch on because there's a sort of discrepancy between Brandt's actions and his words. but i get why they just let him on, the business was legal and they were profitting out of Brandt hahaha.

also, there's a serious potential during the supposed chess game HAHAHA. just that the connection between nick and brandt couldve been used for conflict of rivalry as well. and does he just quit after meeting the VP? anyway, most readers already agree that there is more to this than the author had done.
