Bro he should've just passed him like you're not even a real teacher just let him goooo

Yeah you're right on that one the kid was just THAT hopeless. Even though he knew he would get kicked out if he didn't pass he still didn't study. He has some nerve blaming his ex teacher (but still I passed some classes cause my teachers felt sorry for me so thank the lord not every teacher I had was like mr Sharpe lol)

He had shit going on at home, math was the least of his problems. I'm sorry you don't give a fuck, but I don't see a point in playing a role in ruining someone's future. He was close to graduating anyways showing that he made it through the past. The effort is minimal but it's there. Chill. With a high school degree, he would have a few more options than now. At least that way he would have something to fall back on. I guess you think he deserves everything that's happening? If so that's sick.

My initial comment was in response to the fact that it benefits no one in the end. I understand that it's his job and teachers won't pass students out of pity points, hence the joking manner. However, putting his circumstances into account and my own viewpoint, it only harms society as a whole. A high school degree is barely worth much, and he's made it that far. For anyone really I think he should just pass him. He's not asking for much only a 65 not a 90- something. He doesn't own him anything to pass him, but as I said, it benefits no one in the end as his options for the future only narrows.

It really doesn't I get what you mean. As I said I passed just cause some teachers of mine weren't as strict as others who openly expressed that they would rather give an honest grade rather than a pitty one. High school is just a gateway to uni after all. Thing is, you have someone paying 0 attention to you and instead of trying to study they just mess around. Teachers are people and people can have favoritism. I am not for it, I think it's terrible. But it's by law "the right thing to do" so Sharpe in this case is in the right while Rabbit is in the wrong. But on the eyes of the viewer he is just your typical asshole teacher who wouldn't just let the kid pass the class. In my eyes both had done wrong in a sense. Sharpe could have just gave him a bad but passable grade but instead he did something that benefited nobody and was a dick about it and Rabbit while fully knowing that he would not pass, trued to suck up to him in order to do so instead of at least trying to study in the first place.
Sorry for the long reply.
This is so realistic and wholesome and just the right amount of spice. The characters genuinely care for each other with no random misunderstanding. It's a masterpiece through and through <3333ヾ(☆▽☆)
