So Taeyang was in love with him first right? Or was he just being extremely nosy? They’re not giving as long as time to develop their relationship, but like the fact that there was really no buildup is crazy
I feel like the side chapter with Jiyhun was cruel. It’s very obvious that even though five years has passed he is still “in love” with chiwoo when it could have been left at that. Having that side story where they stay together but even then it’s horrible is insanely cruel. Especially making it clear that he is insanely suicidal after everything that when down. Not saying you should be forgiven or even allowed back in his life because I think that was good. I think him saying “ i’m not gonna give you a hug as a friend because we are not friends” is good. However, I’m having the character who was being abused by his father who internalized how his father acted killing him/being insanely suicidal is a good ending like I’m sorry but wtf? Even the way the original story resolves with him being sent away to America without his brother, his only support system, was terrible. Now he’s engaged most likely to a woman he doesn’t love due to being in charge of his family’s company and like that’s insanely hopeless. He went from a child who was being beaten every day to an abuser to an actively suicidal man and I’m supposed to be happy about this? Mmm yeah. ok.
This was really good and I’m glad that the end went into his relationship with the parents however, I wish there was a conclusion to the story more from the ex’s side of things because he was clearly willing to dump the girls he was sleeping with to get back with him and even though he is sleeping with women, I believe it when he says he is gay but he desire is fitting in more then being true to his sexuality it’s very interesting and I wish we at least got one chapter from him
Everyone is like “girl go watch your granny” but like how is she supposed to know she was going to have a dementia episode?!? And she already came to the conclusion of it’s wrong like she’s clearly working through something give her a minute to breathe
I’m actually kinda mad bc why did it work? Like why is Oushi going to be friends with him? Like Itsuomi doesn’t respect his boundaries at all to the point of damn near harassment but now it’s fine because he pushed hard enough?!?! He already had to deal with horrible friends and now he has another. He can have friends who want the best for him and also respect his boundaries and he doesn’t. Like he should have just kept walking it’s so ughhh especially bc he respects the FL boundaries by not pushing his feeling on to her. I hope they give him space and don’t just shove girl with dog in his face and give him time with the ONLY PERSON who respects his boundaries aka the guy with the glasses.
I already know I’m coming in with a controversial opinion, but I really liked the sister because I really liked how it showed that none of the people she thought supported her bill had her back like her twin brother finds out she dies. He doesn’t even react he does not care about her Person who genuinely cared about her was her father and the servant. And I like how just like with the main character the sister doesn’t really take the fathers regrets But allows him to be a better person, but it has to be without her because she’s being sent away to God knows where. I really love the end. Her personality is I made my bed. I will lie in it and she does. I don’t like the fact that her lover became a child and the fact that he’s the only person around, but I like the fact that I can picture her with the song I guess by Mitski. I genuinely believe she should’ve showed up in at least one side story, even if it was for a panel and I understand in the original novel she dies. I think her dying was insanely stupid because there’s so much more to say with her living. So many bill stories don’t really have a bill in this. She is a perfect film in this and I can totally see her getting a story maybe move away from her lover being a child and maybe her loving him like a child or moving on and marry someone else like there’s a lot of possibilities that you can go with exiled Child and I’m glad that she is finally able to remove herself from her family and I hope one day she’s able to have a conversation with her dad and only her dad.

I know people are mad at her but it’s very obvious she’s projecting the village’s views on to him and is doing this to help him like how he helped her and is going to learn that he doesn’t need her help but her support instead

It’s so funny how gay this family is, and how the sun always taste. The father like I hope his son hates him forever simply because I think it’s the best thing for him so that he never becomes like his father. I still think it’s so interesting no matter how much the witches are like “at the end of the day we’re just humans with human hearts” their humanity must always be questioned because of the pact. Even the wises who are supposed to represent the borderline, try to find ways to deviate from the past, but even they must be questioned when it comes to their humanity because at the end of the day, they will never truly cross the line that’s in the sand and there is nothing non magics can do about it but suffer. In the fight between the brimmed hats and the pointed hats the only real losers will be those who can’t do magic specifically due to the magic cops because they can fight without magic and they can fight with magic but non-magics can’t do the same. Like Custas said they are in a fight against fate and due to that they will never truly be on the other level of mages.
I genuinely think there needs to be another character like The King, who keeps trying to cross that line due to his pure heart and true desire of wanting to protect those who can’t protect themselves. They need to do something to even the playing field because taking away the knowledge of medicine isn’t the same of taking away the knowledge of magic especially in the middle age setting where science isn’t where it’s at now. Like if they were granted the ability to do life-saving surgery, but our only allowed to do such surgery on those who don’t know magic like if they’re able to heal those who have become paralyzed, but can’t heal the wise in teaching.
Please, please please get your happy ending king please please please like if he doesn’t get a happy ending, I’m gonna crash out like what more do you want from him?!?!?

The main character should’ve been been able to kill everyone with a gun. I’m so so serious. I’m so serious. If you are an avid lover of side characters and their potential don’t read this. They all deserved so much better even the worse one because I can totally see him as the crazy ML who gets healed with the powers of love (kinda like this ML). Getting to the end and finding out that the creator didn’t care about the side characters really felt so vindicating but also a slap to the face like why are you using words like I think this is what would happen with them?!? You are the primary creator?!?! Even the best friend who you think is going to play a bigger role in this really doesn’t matter at the end. The main story itself is fine or whatever
I feel like his brother story is so interesting because like if I didn’t have the knowledge of them being a side couple and the experience of reading other stories where I know if two people who are semi related to the main story start appearing together, then most likely, they will be turned into a side story I would’ve never thought they would’ve got together. Like I didn’t even think his brother liked him as a person because of just how disrespectfully flippin he would act with him. And it definitely did get better because it started to seem like he didn’t hate spending time with him and started to care about him, but in a way where it could be right as platonic and the only time I could think of it ever being romantic was when they were sitting at the table together, but other than that, I was like “oh ok I guess that is gonna happen somehow.”
I been a Oushi supporter since day one and I just find the current situation for him so heartbreaking. I think it’s sweet that he is being honest with himself even if he sees the writing on the wall. In this situation only he will be hurt and he knew it and when through with it anyway. I don’t think I want Oushi and FL to stop being friends anymore but I think Oushi will need time to heal over this. I still think ML should stop trying to push his friendship on Oushi when he has made it VERY clear that he doesn’t want it even if he is currently tolerating it.
I do think he will need someone to help pick up the pieces of his broken heart and I know everyone is saying the girl with the dog is the best choice but like why? Because she’s there? Because she likes him? We know nothing about her other than those two things. I think she will help him but I can’t say I agree with them dating afterwords. If anything I see the opposite happening that Oushi doesn’t get with his first love and she also doesn’t but they both still support the other one anyways.
I feel so bad for this man like the things she did to him were horrible and probably caused him PTSD and then he hast to reconcile with the fact that she abandoned him and not the other way around and the OG FL doesn’t really like him like he’s alone but he was so proud and arrogant and he couldn’t admit it but like who cares if he couldn’t admit it, it won’t change the fact that he’s alone. He deserves a better end.
Also the MC’s step brother shares a similar fate so I feel bad for him too. I would love any info about him since he seems to just disappear.
