I don't get it, does the duke never explain to his children where he had gotten Penelope and how she had been living? Mind you it's been a while since I read this so my memories on past chapters are a bit hazy. Like for a guy who wanted to bring a girl back to his house he did like jack shit to help her live in the house. idk about the eldest bro bc we haven't seen that much of him, but at least for the second bro his hatred seems pretty understandable?
OBviously I'm not condoning his actions bc he's a dick and has so much to make up for, but like imagine his side too. Some random girl made to replace your younger sister without any introductions whatsoever, who also was like "I wish [your sister] dies". and because he's also like 13 at the time and we're all terrible and ignorant at 13 and he still apparently doesn't know her backstory, idk about you but I'd hate her too if it was my sister the girl was talking about?? If anything I really hate the duke for dragging Penelope into this mess and then never trying to actually integrate her into the family, like what?? Even???
Yes, he JUST said "from now on she will be living with us / from now on she will be a part of eckart family" since he only bring Penelope for his daughter's substitute, he don't even bother to explain anything.
I already re-read this comic for my five times, it only bring me a pain in heart. If the reincarnation or universe-travel thing really exists and it can happen to me, i really want to be someone who can always be on Penelope's side (and at least allow me to kill one of that bunch of bastard). Everyone there are fucking annoying ㅠㅠ
Definitely biased, but they did the novel dirty. I won't say that the novel is amazing, bc it certainly has its flaws, but for the webtoon, the pacing is too fast and the vibes are off. The novel was quite a calm read and had more emotional depth in comparison, or at least felt like it. The characters actually have personalities than whatever they did to them here, like how did they make the MC the dumb highschool MC vibes when in the novel it's not like he didn't have his more immature moments (especially w Kaya lol) but they made it clear that he's a calm and mature 30 yr old?? And they did Kaya and Chloe so dirty bc the webtoon makes them look like a bitch and a side hoe of which they are neither?
I keep trying to read the whole thing properly bc I see so many people like it but I just can't?? Get past?? how dumb she is???? Finally made it to chp 21 after the fifth try but omg why does she want to lie and write the whole book but it's about her instead? Why would that be a good idea?? Someone spoil this for me does it get better? Because if it doesn't I will drop for real this time.

I'm very happy Aria is finally coming to terms with being in the new world and actually feeling better, I was getting very worried for her mental and emotional state. And to respond to other commenters, yess Aria is a victim, and she's not pathetic, she's quite realistic. Not everyone can have the mentality to be like "Oh, I'm in a new world now? Well it seems like everyone is quite nice so I'll just try to live my best life!" like damn I'd prob be depressed af and refuse to believe reality where I'm surrounded by strangers in a new world who have placed great expectations on me with zero chance of going home to my fam and friends.
That aside, unlike the MC, there was only really a small group of people who "cared" about Aria, in the sense that they forced their protection and expectation upon her, resulting in misunderstandings with the surrounding people, which only hurt Aria further.
The MC on the other hand, was surrounded by genuinely kind people who cared for her and didn't force their expectations upon her. The MC, unlike Aria, was also allowed to explore for herself whereas Aria went along with whatever the prince said because she didn't know what else she could do.
Also Aria isn't like the MC who is a grown independent adult, she's still young and very dependent on her parents. Yes, there are independent teens out there, but not everyone are, and it seems that Aria was a bit sheltered, but that's not like something to fault her for. She's in a new strange world where the first person who reaches out to her is the prince, who's an asshole. Like, probably if instead the second prince or Liza had been the one to reach out to her first she probably wouldn't have had so many issues in the first place, because they seem to be quite the decent people.
Agree completely!
And I found it so refreshing how wholesome the dynamics between the girls were! Lots of Mangas/Webtoons like this have unnecessary drama between girls that just escalates to extreme levels and it's always centered around "coveting" the male lead. Like I really love and appreciate moments where I see girls banning together and actually being normal and realistic. I really appreciate Liz's (the prince's fiancée) character, she is so wise and patient and was willing to listen to Sei's advice and guidance.
Whenever I see Aira my heart ached for her like you can tell she's naturally a shy child and prolly has some anxiety, considering how much she holds everything in and is too scared to voice her opinions cause she'll feel ungrateful for the prince's protection. She never had any ill-intent to begin with so I don't get all the hate, like i can understand how annoying she must've been to the readers cause she was very passive but I genuinely think she has anxiety and isn't good with confrontation. Eeee sorry for this rant I just got so excited and went off ( ̄∇ ̄")
