marriage is scary, what if he’s not taeju.

This type of love isn't ok bc it's not real, in reality he wouldn't change, becoming a good person acter doing the ugliest stuff doesn't exist, and even if it existed by some kind of idk magic that person shouldn't be forgiven and nobody is believing in this kind of love ctually, and the comment was sarcastic, so take it easy n chiiiilll

thanks for your worries about me being delusional but i’m old enough to know what type of love is fine and what type of love isn’t. whether someone likes taeju or not is basically not your problem. flash news? you must have a lot of time in your hand to worry about some stranger’s preferences. anyway, bold of you to assume i’m a woman.

okay but i knew we wouldn’t see nagi in this chapter (after that "continue?" arcade game screen play, it really felt like that was the last time we would see him before his "possible" comeback) and if we’re still not seeing him in the next chapters, it means that now his fate is in his hands and either he’s currently pulling a kunigami backstage or he’s done for good. (he’s locked in backstage trust) anyway, i’m so excited for the new arc. isagoat go baby ahhh

that last panel was weird. (or maybe i’m just being crazy and delusional, seeing how no one talks about it).
but the detail in the final panel — the "continue? 3" fighting game screen seems deliberate and feels definitely NOT meaningless. (imo. probably just me being delulu.)
i mean, if the author just wanted to show nagi defeated/done for good (let’s just say that he’s giving nagi so much screentime even after his elimination because it’s his favorite character, nagi is a popular character and so on, so he just wants to give him a proper and respectful ending), a "game over" screen would’ve made perfect sense, no? it would have fully closed the metaphor and then we could have gotten the sharp feeling that it’s really the end for nagi (just like what we can feel after reading what ego said about never choosing nagi and making him come back — it felt like a "stop coping, nagi might be a popular character but he isn’t coming back" message from the author, if you ask me).
but in the last panel, instead, we get: "continue? 3" — the classic countdown in arcade games that gives the player a few seconds to decide if they want to keep playing or let the game end.
i don’t know… right there, the symbolism feels kind of intentional. and for me, it means two things for nagi’s arc: he has a moment to choose. either he stays where he is (checked out, aimless) or he inserts the metaphorical coin, stands up, and chooses to keep playing (just like how isagi told him to not quit soccer at the end of chapter 300).
if you ask me, i feel like the story is literally asking "will nagi continue — yes or no?" (the word "continue" might mean continue as continue to stay the nagi he has always been or continue as not quitting football.)
for sure, there is not a comeback confirmation but for me, it feels like a narrative question.
like if this tiny detail doesn’t have a narrative purpose, it seems totally unnecessary? nagi is shown all depressed, adrift, and CLEARY ignored by ego (who said he’s not making him come back) and yet that panel shows a question mark as if it leaves nagi with a choice to make? why? is the author just playing with us? or am i missing something?
is it really just a panel filler or i’m not crazy and it’s a metaphorical language?
i’m not saying that this one tiny detail is proof that nagi is coming back soon. but it feels absolutely not meaningless either. maybe i’m just wrong about the meaning and i just see the positif aspect of it. still? it feels like a narrative hint that nagi’s arc isn't fully over and he has the final say in whether it continues.
but then again, bro might just pull a kenma and quit soccer forever, starting his career as a pro gamer or wtv and it would really be the end for him. because crying and feeling all depressed doesn’t guarantee that he’ll do something about it. (but yeah. i do hope he does.)

Might Be a foreshadowing that he will continue playing soccer, might not be in blue lock but for some other team and he will improve and grow from that, away from the people he's so dependent on/relied with playing soccer. He needs to grow not with them but alone on his own, and there might be an arc or story depicting his growth this time he's the Mc and not isagi and he will know how to grow on his own and be a true genius ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
ugh i love nagi but can’t we just go back to focus on the 23 players? and on my man isagi’s arc too?? and on sae vs bunny dynamics (new crush unlocked)?? we want nagi’s comeback to be impactful but if we keep seeing him like that, idk… it seems pointless and weird.
and yeah if nagi decides to betray bluelock and starts his villain arc i’m fine with it but only if it’s for his own ego and because he seeks victory by HIMSELF. might use bura or wtv his name is to his advantage to enter bluelock again and win the u-20 wc.
but trying to destroy ego’s philosophy? challenging it? idk, it seems weird. because that would mean he would pull a kuroko and show that you win a match with teamwork? isn’t that ridiculous? i mean, we already saw that this mindset can’t survive in bluelock, that’s why he got eliminated.
but then, using the very thing that provoked his death in bluelock in order for him to come back? it would work in any other manga but with bluelock’s philosophy, it just feels weird and illogical. or maybe i’m dumb but how else could he try proving ego wrong? isn’t it by trying to show him that you need teamwork to win? but so far, my goat ego is NOT wrong. (and we would be disappointed if he’s actually wrong). i mean, try challenging his mindset and you’ll just end up ridiculously failing.
plus, nagi is right about one thing, ego is the reason they all could experience a fire within them.
so idk. maybe i’m not smart enough to understand the story but imo, what nagi needs right now is building a strong enough ego and reborn, he f needs a REBIRTH. he needs to free himself from his former unmotivated, dependant character and just seeks victory, seeks fire.
but if he follows burata, follows his orders to destroy ego’s philosophy (and obviously failing), then where is the character development?
but ig all this yapping just to end up saying that i’ll let kaneshiro cook. i just wish he would stop showing nagi every two chapters like that. we’re still in the middle of isagi’s arc in spain ugh.
you are so right can i just say i’m inlove with you
