i actually really like romance stories where there's an age gap, stories in which one of them is 10 years older, has known the other since he was a child and so on. but the thing is, first of all, the two of them mustn't have a parent/child type of shit relationship or anything like that (even if they aren’t blood related, it's just too weird if one of them is someone who adopted the younger one, for example - usagi drop i see you -) and above all, they both have to be ADULTS when they start to feel attraction for each other (or when the older one starts to reciprocate the younger one's attraction - because it's totally okay for a kid/teenager to have a crush on someone much older, I think. like, it exists, it's okay) but if they're not both adults, it's a big no. it's too weird. plus, i tend to like it best when it's the girl who's the older one of the two in straight romances or when it's the bottom who's older in BLs/GLs. so here, i can't really get hooked. but i keep reading, because i want to see how far the author will take the story.
