How did you miss it??? Sangwoo's relationship with his mother has been clearly implied to be sexual from the very beginning. Every time Sangwoo is involved with something sexual with Bum a memory or hallucination of his mom happens, and all flashbacks with the mother had sexual undertones. Its been very blatant. I mean...everybody knew Sangwoo was overlapping Bum with his mom, why did you think that was? Especially when it came to sex? Would you have sex with somebody that reminded you of your mom if you hadn't experienced sexual trauma at your mothers hands? From the beginning its been clear that Sangwoo's sickness was created by his mom's mental and sexual abuse. I mean his first chasing of Bum when he first started overlapping Bum and his mom is when he got an erection and then from there it has continued to escalate.
It's been too long, I don't even remember that erection part you mentioned at the end. I do remember Sangwoo picturing his mother and mentioning similarities between her and Bum. It's these last sex scenes and his memories of her calling him "Babe," along with his reacting in the 'present' to her in those memories (in a sense), that has me reacting this way. Like, he may be too far gone......beyond the horizon gone. It's a wonder he hasn't delved into much more horrendous acts with his torture and murders after having dealt with a 'mother' who not only tried to kill you...long term & multiple times, but also: treated you with disdain, as a pawn, openly compared you to her dead spouse you're supposed to be to blame for, had you set up to watch her cheat, etc.
Not so much that I missed it....I just do a bit of mental cleansing after it updates. It's usually read BEFORE other stories, and typically while I'm eating breakfast or listening to music for a slight sensory buffer.

i noticed that on the second time she appeared when sungchae's other friend appear and say they [she and sungchae] were a different kind than the mc and that's why she couldn't fall in love with sungchae
