I understand that life made Raymond this way and yes this is a rather realistic representation of someone who wants to take revenge, but that revenge is blinding him so much he forgot how to see the good in people. Ian on the other hand is stronger in my opinion. Even tho he went through all that he still managed to find forgiveness for the people that hurt him and tried to believe In people again.. Raymond better not betray him, better not shatter the last hope he has on believing in human decency.
