You may think that i΄m an asshole for saying this but i think that the revenge was completely satisfying! Well, the reason that Charles killed himself was because he learned that Silver was actually Geraldine, and then he was sure that she would never be his since all he has done to her, so he lost. He had fallen in love so hard with her, that living without her by his side and with her actually hating him was unbearable. In other words Silver was successful since she completely destroyed him mentally.
