in my 8 years of reading BLs, I just canât understand the readers that will religiously shit on a work chapter after chapter and STILL read it to the end even if the work is 100+ chs. Itâs even worse when they take it to social media to complain to the author. Honestly, if you werenât the intended audience then you werenât the intended audience. Drop it and find something that suits your tastes or better yet, write smth of your own. Personally there have been BLs that have been too much for me and if within 10 chapters I get the vibe that I wonât like the work no matter what other positive aspects it has, I just drop it because why would I waste my time on a work I know itâs ending wonât fully satisfy me. Time is a commodity, why waste my time on a work I donât like when instead I could find other works I do like. I wonât be the target audience for all BLs and thatâs alright.
That's an interesting take. I could see that. I remember a few years ago this site wasn't as popular but the comment sections were actually a place of discussion on different views, theories, and little notes from people who noticed a connection from a previous chapter or foreshadowing what was to come later. Now its like a competition of who can shame a story or other readers the hardest smh
Yeah, I miss it when this site was a safe space honestly. But I think it has to do with normal people entering the fandoms and/or hobbies they're not interested in during the pandemic. Kpop and anime weren't as popular too until covid hits, and since people have nothing much to do during the lockdown I guess that's also how they find out about this site. âŽ( ̄â˝ďżŁ)â and I agree with the competition part, it also feels like they're impatient especially if the story is still new and needs time for the plot to actually plotting.

What did my boy Yohan do to deserve this (Iâm not asking for spoilers, itâs a rhetorical)
