I don't think it's about betrayal... I think ren and that guy are best friend, and the girl is that guy girlfriend. I think what happen is that ren got in the fight with someone and that guy and his girlfriend saw ren, so when ren try to run away, the 2 of them chase him, while crossing the road, the guy got hit by the car and die, that will explain why the girl call ren a monster.

No, thats not it. That guy is his tutor or something. remember when Ren ask kyoko to make him omurice, there's a flashback when that guy ask Kuon to kill a chicken and make him fried chicken so Kuon would be a brave boy, but he feed the chicken instead and buy a delivery chicken. That guy is the one who taught Ren when having a though times just make an omurice and put a spell on it from our special one. at that times That guy already has a special ones and Kuon still a boy. you see, kuon as a kid in America often get bullied bcause he is foreigner and his parents famous. and when he get roles, people always accuse him using his connection. maybe thats whv he change from the adorable Kuon to the dark Koun he try so hard to erase. Do you remember when Ren potrayed "CAIN HEEL" and he have those murderous intent to those thug who bother Setsu? Thats Kuon there. We only see the glimpse. but I think Kuon got into a fight a lot in the past. He is a scary person, when Reino see Ren in his past, he got all cold sweat. And in one those fight when Kuon got injured badly but still continue to fight, and That guy tutor happened to be there with his GF, and try to stop him but Kuon pushed him away and that guy got hit by the car, then his GF call Kuon murderer. Thats what happened.

Ren wasn't running away he was chasing after the guy he was fighting... also I think that was the guy who picked on him so, yah. But I think Ren chased because he enjoyed the thrill of fighting, cause remember he knew martial arts but didn't like fighting while his friend ( or tutor?) told him to kill the chicken (the moai scene {yah spelling _ _' sorry}) and Ren named the chicken (Brian, I think) instead, but after getting into so many fights due to being a mix he may have become sadistic.

One of the bullies pushed Rick's girlfriend and Muon was going to go after him. Rick ran after him to try to stop him (girlfriend trailing behind) and got hit by a car when he ran out in the road.
