apparently the prince knew she wasn’t actually veronica in the past life and still loved her but acted really formally towards her so enemies wouldn’t realize how much he cared for her and try to use her as leverage. when he found out the real veronica killed the mc, he had veronica killed and was heartbroken over the mc’s death. with this information in mind i think it’s safe to assume she ends up with the prince again
