Y’all why are these authors get chronic illnesses like?? Their company or publishers should get their authors some wellness check or atleast health checks
I think some of them are probably fake. It's easier to lie and say that a faceless author is sick than to say they got fired, or quit or lost their passion for their work.
i'm an artist and writer (for fun i dont' share my stuff) and most of my community is sick, whether they be artists or writers. no joke. something about being sick makes you want to be creative I think. we're stuck sitting down all day (it's not like we can go out and do outdoor activities most of the time) so we doodle or write to pass the time and over time it becomes a hobby or a career.
aside from that tho yeah, the schedules the manhwa artists are kept to are insane imagine doing 40+ drawings in like 5 days (cuz it still needs to be approved/edited/etc). they're at their computers drawing for 12 hours a day for months. so manhwa/manga artists in particular are really susceptible to burnout and chronic illnesses even if they were healthy to begin with bc the publishers push them so hard
