Based on the novel... And this is just my opinion on how I'm interpreting/understanding it... The story is based on lies. The fool of a seme believed the lies of the person who claimed to have rescued him. The idiot of a seme actually based his affection towards the bastard coz he believed those lies. This person stole almost everything from the mc/uke and putting him in harm's way, causing him physical, mental and emotional trauma.
My greatest satisfaction was when this bastard paid for each injury and harm done to the mc. The second satisfaction being when seme paid with blood, sweat and tears to regain the uke's trust.

tbh I didnt read/watch ao no exorcist but I still think it's an enjoyable manga even if it may be similar. I love the art, the plot is a bit cliche/typical but still in a good way? and I am starting to like the characters. What I enjoy, though may be a spoiler so proceed at your own caution, is the fact that in this manga both sides have fair reasoning for their doings. In the most recent chapter too there's a significant change in a relationship and I thought it was quite endearing. **end of spoilerish stuff* But one thing I have a problem with is how female characters are portrayed but it's overall a decent manga = D.
