Lets not hate the family to much. The old sena was at fault too, she was to consume with self pity that she turned away from her family. Let’s be real even in real life we ought to hate someone in our family too especially when they are really hateful like the old sena. In one of the flashback she hurt gwain. The indifference of the family is also because of her doing.

I’m not blaming her, I said she’s also at fault for not seeking help and being prideful, being a child doesn’t mean every adult need to coddle you especially in their type of era. She was a victim because she chooses too, the current sena was liked by her family now because she reached out to them, something the old sena never did. A family is only a family when everyone thinks so, the old sena didn’t, she thought they forcefully took her from her mother because her mother is a prostitute. Reread it and you’ll see her saying so, I forgot what chapter that was

Not seeking help??? How was she supposed to know she was abused if it was an era where the idea of abuse wasn’t known to the world? God you’re blaming a fucking child for being abused. Filth like you disgust me if you think this about a manga you must be a horrid person in real life

Just speaking from my personal experience, neglect is one of the easiest forms of abuse to forgive, especially if the neglectful party realizes and never falls back into their previous behaviours (tho there are still doubts and such that linger which I think was protested well by Sena thinking she was only temporarily in their good graces, thus the escape plan for when they throw her away again)
Aside from that, the consciousness inside the FL isn't the original Senianna Francliff who actually had to endure those years of abuse and neglect, but rather the reincarnated Sena who only knew about that pain by reading about it. So if it had been the original Senianna who suffered, she probably would have held a deeper grudge against her family, but since it's instead Sena she only had to overcome the uncertainty of whether or not they will throw her away again

Idk whats happening but didn't Sena literally hate hearing that "though they neglected you, and abused you ,you should forgive them"?
I mean I still stand by my original comment. Love the family, but fuck the family. It is up to the literal adults to ensure the child is atleast living a normal healthy life. If they had checked up on her ONCE unprovoked , then they would've seen what was going on. The grandfather was angry at himself too as well as the brothers because they literally didnt know what was going on, because they neglected her. A child. Even if it's a teenager , it's up to them. The adults. They didn't even know that she wasn't getting the clothes and shoes that was supposed to be sent to her because ,once again, they never checked in on her. If they had checked to see how she was sleeping. Wouldn't they have seen that she wasn't getting the thick blankets and instead a wet and cold one ? I mean shit, they never knew she was HUNG UP to be beat ? And regardless of a child not seeking help, SHOULD YOU HELP UPON SEEING THAT SHE'S TRYING TO KILL HERSELF ??? If my child was trying to stab herself or hang herself, my first thought isn't that she has no ambition. It'll be holy hell, why would my child want to do that ?? But then again, this is a manga in the back in time days so

All good points, and yeah like you mentioned it takes place in a time period that doesn't have modern standards of child raising, but that doesn't make it acceptable by any means
And tho I don't particularly remember when this took place, regardless of the situation, being told to forgive someone of something that hurt you is bullshit, even if you can learn to move on and forgive and forget, no one has the right to tell you that that's what you should do and even just the idea of hearing someone say that to someone else gets my blood boiling
Aside from that, I believe that the family's neglect of Senianna stemmed from her disconnect from them (not to say that that is her fault or that she should be blamed for that, because every relationship has two sides) and as we've seen, her family can be very cruel to those who wrong them and indifferent to those they don't care about, as was the case for Senianna before they began to reconnect and establish a familial bond.
Basically they just saw her not as family but as just another person they didn't care about so even if they bothered to notice she was struggling they wouldn't bother looking into it and just stay in their own lane
This doesn't negate their responsibility to take care of this child, but does explain their behaviour and why things changed so much when Senianna began interacting with them and they started to form attachments and care about her
Anyway, her family made a lot of mistakes and and whether or not those mistakes are forgiven is up to the person who was affected
In any case, I'm happy to see that she's moving on from what happened in the past because the relationships she now has with her family have far more positive value than the negative memories of the past
While it can be good to be cautious and protect yourself from getting hurt like you have in the past, I this situation I believe it's safe for Senianna to allow herself to move on rather than holding onto anger or the pain from her past. It's fine if she can't really forgive them, but it's important to move forward
And that's just how Senianna seems to be dealing with the situation but it's still totally valid if from an outside view you can't forgive the actions of those characters because of their past actions
While I adore them now, even I can admit that they were in the wrong back then, but I guess I just choose not to focus on that

I never said about forgiving them from neglecting her, it’s true that they did checked on her, but didn’t they help the current sena when she asked for help because she was abused. I’m saying that she should have said something to her family than put up with it.

You were acting like the old sena who don’t rationalize her choices. Saying that you hate the family, then if you were the old sena would you just put up with it and just choose to die?

If you’re not going to make the same choice as the old sena, then shut up, stop saying repulsive thing, like someone who grows up in the streets. You’re being biased on your opinions, and attacking me personally when it’s obviously we are talking about the story.

Stop attacking me bacause your not the old sena, if you really are then fine, I’ll admit my wrong because that’s how you feel, but you’re not her so stop delusioning yourself, you know what she feel. And just note from my very first reply I never said anything about the old sena’s feelings. I was talking about you and your biased hate for everyone.

i agree with you but to add didn't the old sena also not open up to them? cause clearly if the family made those comments about how she is bad or whatever based off the brothers tea backstory(the one where she threw tea at him) then wouldn't we have seen more aggression from the family? So that means the old sena closed herself off and since because of that the family didn't think to interact with her because they did not know why? hence the grandfather asking why she cry's every night and such. idk if this makes sense or if i remembered this all right.
