Tamaki has an aversion to sex due to trauma, I think, wich is not how asexuality works (I don't really know, I'm just basing this on personal experiences)

Yes but having that trauma doesn’t mean he cannot be labeled as asexual. I don’t want to assume his sexuality just in case he comes out as not asexual in the following chapters but I just want people to stop ruling off the possibility that he could be in fact asexual just because of his backstory.

I want to make a note, that asexuality, as a result of trauma, is still asexuality. It's not entirely rare for something like that to occur, but people just have to be careful when keeping that possibility in mind, because otherwise some people might say that all asexuals are trauma induced, which is certainly not the case. it just happens to be the case with Tamaki.

i actually think the way they addressed it was the right way?? like takumi said he could be asexual but also who actually knows their sexuality in high school and acknowledges that its not easy to just label a person as one thing (especially when the only one who can confirm that is tamaki). also in general his dislike of sex is in no way a mystery lol we know hes had a lot of trauma when it came to sex

how does it work cause tamaki seems to kind of not hate the fact that shun did all that to him and he’s actually kinda aware of it?

Well 1. He didn't mind it therefore there is potential because he's always been the extremely cautipus type, never wanting to break out of what teh world told him to do.
2. Asexuality is flexible like any other label in that it follows a general guideline and leaves room for specifics. Definition/guideline: Someone who can still be able to have romantic feelings for someone (unless they also aromatic), but don't find interest in sex/intercourse (the extent of what someone may be confortable with depends on the person). Greysexual and demisexual are labels for people in between asexual and sexual. Whether a sexuality results from trauma though usually it wouldn't have to, it is used to describe the fact that they simply like something or simply not like something. Take Banana Fish for example. One of the characters has extensive trauma from being forced into sexual acts that he lost all interest in it. Even though it is a result of trauma it is valid because he no longer has interest, maybe even a distaste for it. That's why that character and his partner's relationship was the asexual kind. Their bond was romantic. The main thing that annoyed me in this chapter was that just like many people may misunderstand, Takumi described asexuality as spmeone straight up not being able to fall in love. LIKE THAT HAS ITS OWN LABEL PPL (aromantic). Asexual's the one with "sex" in it so yh, that one morr substantially means not having an interest in sex/intercourse.

Also: Asexual more specifically means not being sexually ATTRACTED to people. Even if someone may not find anyone appealing that they would feel sexual desire for them, if they let's say like getting off with another person/the act of sex itself, they could still have sex to an extent. Someone could have a high sex drive but be fine with masturbation and not be interested in sex. You can see how there are many sides to one label. I myself am greysexual/demisexual. Even if I might have interest in sex and am capable of being sexually attracted to someone, I don't find interest in doing it with someone I don't have great interest in and feel at ease with. Finding someone like that isn't common for me.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess it's just that my asexual friends usually get pissed when someone points that they're asexual because of a traumatic experience when it's not the truth, so I had that idea, but know I see it more clearly, thanks.
