The fl (female lead) and ml (male lead) were inlove. But then the fl was murdered, possibly by her brother. The ml was in despair, so what he did was turn back time. He then got close to her brother to gain his trust and then crushed his hand to get him in despair. That was his revenge for the fl's death. But obviously theres someone else trying to kill her as well so idk if this theory is correct.
But what I know is that he DID/MUST HAD turned back time to protect the fl. Basically he is trying to correct his mistakes, but obviously, its gonna backstab him (thats because the fl hates and despises him) .

that would explain why the ml tried to hurt the fl's brother, cause why would he? Isn't he madly in love with her, that he wouldn't hurt her feelings.
Or there's a possibility, cause he said something in the latest chapter. "if you become duke you'll be hurt" or something. Maybe someone killed her because she's duke. Thats why he hurt her brothers hand so they can switch "dream jobs". Thats probably the reason why the traps were set up for her, they set it up for her cause they didn't know her brother and her switched.
But that's just a theory thooo. UGHH TOO MANY POSSIBILITIES!!
