yea this is not where it's at i've read the webnovel and honestly i only stayed for the fl cuz of her growth and how resilient she was. most regency webnovels try to make the fl a badass manipulator who can do everything, but i like how the fl in here is just someone who tries to live despite the torture she had to face.

she did return back to the guy, i personally get it because she basically has nobody and she loved him once, and she still loved him no matter what. i can't blame her cuz she's honestly just a victim who came from a place of privilege, making her the best scapegoat for the revolution. she finds peace and quiet at the end, but she stayed with him. if yall don't want that ending then i would suggest not continuing cuz so far the webtoon adapts mostly true to the text (except for the tone, i felt that the webnovel was less "soap-drama"-ish)
