Edit: never mind. Got to chapter 28. Crying. Why are men so fucking petty with their own feelings?
Ch. 2 and I'm incredibly bothered by how much he doesn't care for his father. How impersonal he treats him, how he always makes a point of saying he is not his real son, never calling him not even by the name, just by his title of strongest/greatest hunter as if he is nothing more than data he can use… was he an awful human? Or is the MC just idk emotionless? Ungrateful? Non filial? Thinking he is undeserving of love? Really, what is it? Why doesn't he seem to care for his dad? Even if you don't love the guy, if he wasn't utter trash and raised you you'd feel saddened by his death, so this made me so uncomfortable I had to ask. I hope it's not an oversight of the author and an actual plot point.
(I've seen this same thing happen as an oversight and I guess that's what freaked me out)

To be very honest, usually I get happy when a 2nd male lead gets some prominence, but weirdly, I really want to see Doyoon with Yejun, the author made them so much more compelling, which is usually where others fail. Other authors make a ML trash and a super compelling, nice 2nd ml, but here the ml is really compelling…

Ch. 33 "back when we were talking about forever" Subin, my boy… I don't even know what to say, was he your first love or something??? Why are they this crazy. Also, Woori is a fucking psycho. The shit he does without even clocking how wrong it is: letting a middle school girl live with him, allowing her to cut school, getting subin to lose his job, getting his sister to ask him for something he can't afford so he'd have to accept woori's money… I mean, I like him, but it's insane. All three sorta are. Sei is deluded (and ungrateful tbvfh) and a compulsive liar, subin has WILD temperament issues, my boy is always about to break (Alexa, play Linkin Park), but Woori is so like unaware of how anormal? Unnormal? Inormal? Non-normal he is. Fuck. I kinda love that, lol
Also, can we talk about fanservice? Ch 17 I think? Cover page got sei and subin as romantic targets in a game for woori to play, we get woori saying he wants to make subin feel like the protagonist of his world, wants to become subin's whole world, feels like a symbiotic relationship, wants Subin to depend on him, can't let him out of his sight (and I get it's for survival but also, the wording and framing was sooo fanservicey), getting his friend to point out how noticeably gay they are acting with each other (only function is comedic and making the audience aware that the author IS aware of the choices being made), so it's all very intentional.

You put out everything that i think of and im grateful becuase i dont have the smoothness to explain like this.
Especially their characterization. All that i can think of are sei is quite a psycho, makes me uncomfortable = i dont like her.
Soobin is quite psycho but sei is scarier. Him? He's just trying to survove while the world likes to fuck with him = i think i would chose him over the other two
Woori? Yup he's really not normal. I think he's just apathetic. He really wasn't malicious or evil but just someone who treats everything half-heartedly. If there's a class for common sense and important feelings, we really need to get him there.

Ch. 16 rn. If this turns out with subin being a piece of shit and not a guy fucked up by society who finds his final straw in woori hence killing him… like, talking about the sister is what actually got woori killed in his first life so either she died tragically or she was shitty. But if she is a poor victim scared of soobin then that first chapter was really badly drawn and paced. I mean, you can get a killer triggered by the mention of one of their victims but you simply don't depict it like that.
I don't think that's where we are going but I just wanted to share my ch. 16 thoughts
"he's really BA dnews" brother I'm so sorry but he looks like great news to my personal entertainment. A guy that's Beautiful AND Evil? Yep
