Tbf Hoyeol is still under the impression that Grandfel & everything about him was born out of his "middle schooler syndrome". We know that's not the truth, that Grandfel is a real person from Arcana and he and Hoyeol somehow share a special connection (ie. linked souls or something) that the other players lack (I personally like to think that every player's character did actually exist in Arcana as a person, but they lacked that something special Grandfel has and lost their self/were absorbed by the players when the worlds merged.) - but yeah, Hoyeol doesn't yet realise that. I'll be real with you, if I suddenly woke up as a character I created when I was 12 and acted how I wrote her at the time, I'd be cringing too.
I get your frustration though, we've seen Hoyeol have glimpses of thought that could help him realise the truth so we know he is capable of that, so it can be annoying to still see him with that shtick 70 chapters later ╮(￣∇￣")╭
