I mean, Eugene is pretty delusional. Also, all the crazy that happened around him must have distorted his sense of reality.
Apart form that, Eugene gave Dominic many hints about his master (like the piercings, some comments, rumors, ecc.) and often confirmed Dom's assumption.
We don't really know what Dominic knows or he's guessing.
