if you don't understand, fathers with only one child tend to hold onto them and don't let go, especially in mr. Kim's situation, she's mentally ill and he's trying his best to let her get help, she's too stuck in her delusions to have a grasp on reality, to her unstable mind, Doo-Joon is going to fix her and he loves her, i am by no means excusing her actions but to her father, her mental illness is an excuse for everything she does, wether she hurts others or not
The dads an enabler and it’s detrimental to his daughters progression thats not love thats need to control... love would be making sure your daughter has the means to be happy which means a high quality secure mental facility
Out of all the male leads from the original novel I prefer Lycan, like he's the only one sane and normal. I don't know about Owens but I hope he's just as normal as Lycan.
