Well, it's because although they can't have a family since they are both guys, normal people just wouldn't sleep with their brother or sister, in the eye of society is wrong, impure and above all disgusting by all means.

Fantasy is okay but real life is a big no no because dating your sister / brother is wrong.

Impure and disgusting? How so? I don't think it affects anyone or do anyone wrong. It isn't wrong objectively, just different and subjectively wrong to people due to the current belief. What makes something pure anyways? You know just sex is impure according to a lot of standards in the first place.

I think I heard somewhere that partly the reason incest is illegal is because if a brother and sister were to have a child together, more often than not the child is deformed or mentally handicapped in some way. It has something to do with how similar the parent genes are that messes with the baby, and its basically considered child endangerment/cruelty. You can see the result of incest by looking at ancient Egypt, where it was normal for brothers and sisters to get married to "keep the royal bloodline." This doesn't say anything about brotherly incest, however ╮(￣▽￣)╭

My guess is that this is all influence brought from western religion. Christianity doesn’t accept the idea of same sex anything, you have a man and a woman and nothing else is acceptable.

There were dudes who conquered almost everything. Because of this, they were easily able to spread their ideologies like sciences and religion. Religion said no to gay sht so the rest of the world started saying no as well. It became widely established that same sex relationships are not good.

Let’s deviate from Christianity for a bit. It was common for relatives to marry each other. After science said offspring between close relatives are not good cuz people found out about how it can mess with the gene pool. Then everyone agreed that relationships between close relatives is not good. Now it’s just unacceptable for siblings to marry and barely acceptable to further off relatives. The thing is, same sex relationships were also rejected and they were so low on the pyramid of relationships that people (majority) didn’t even want it ON the pyramid at all so it made no difference if “incest” applied to only male-female siblings or all siblings in general.

“Incest” is bad cuz it was established that offspring between close relatives limit the gene pool (well there are genetically inherited diseases as well but whatever), but because same sex relationships we’re already so rejected at the time, it didn’t matter if “incest” applied to same sex siblings since same sex relationships were already bad.

In short, it’s cuz people love to discriminate and name someone the devil.

Incest is bad if you think about it, and not speaking from a biological standpoint but rather a moral point, because when you look at your siblings or parents(or even kids, an especially gross case) the fact that you look at them with lust rather than love is disturbing. Imagine living with someone that's supposed to care and help you like a friend and/or family and that person may feel the same but also wants to fuck you, it's just uncomfortable for you and rather creepy. But like if you fell in love with someone and then discovered you were siblings that's different because if you didn't grow up together you're just strangers and siblings by blood wich imo doesnt mean shit. But hey if both people involved are adults and the relationship is consensual who is anyone to say they can't date, doesn't mean it still isn't fucked up.

Incest is illegal because 1) the child would be deformed of mentally handicapped if a brother and sister would get a child like you said 2) brotherly incest or sisterly incest there wouldn't be a problem if they get kids but then it's unfair for brother and sister incest. If incest was ok with the same sex but not opposite, then they would protest and would demand incest is legal. It's best if it's illegal for this to happen. Better safe than sorry. (Just wanna say I don't find it wrong if it's fantasy but not when it's real) (￣∇￣")

I'm not sure if this make sense but there's a theory about incest prohibition.. Levi strauss and other philosophers came up with it. What they are practically saying Is that since incest is natural in animals and we don't want to act like them therefore we prohibit it... And this is way dumbing it down coz if you actually read their theories you'd want to kill them coz they'll use extreme difficult language and a long ass essay just to make this one point. But this is western philosophy. Other cures have their own reasons for it. Ultimately it's an ideology.

in a docu i have watched a few days ago during the early days of the bible... incest is actually allowed... unfortunately during the time of the egyptians... to much inbreeding resulted to biologically defected infants... the notion that marrying your brother/sis keeps the bloodline pure was how they think though.. nobles of the old age does it too. today biological science had proven that inbreeding causes defective genes in babies so lot of countries made it illegal. some countries still support distant cousin marrige until today though. my former boss married his cousin to combine family wealth. lol

If you were raised with someone from a young age then you know everything about them. Maybe you even took baths together at some point. It's taking advantage of the the time you spent together and using it for sex or substituting it for romance. It's like using each other. Incest is also frowned upon because then it doesn't help the people involved understand the concept of love and that there are different kinds. It's basically people confusing familial love for romantic love. Also it's bad biologically because the baby will more than likely have developmental issues and physical health problems. (Ex: Amish 6-fingered dwarfism) That's not always the case but if you could have prevented that then you're at fault for knowing the risks and not caring. You're also limiting the chnace for survival from your bloodline because of genetic drift(not having a varied gene pool) As someone with a lot of siblings incest disgusts me because I kbow what it's like to experience the love of a sibling and it is completely different from the love of a partner or crushes or even lust.
TLDR: Familial love is not romantic love. Incestuous people don't know the difference. It's bad biologically for your bloodline and bad developmentally for your child. Limits the gene pool which is already pretty small for humans. It's taking advantage of the time you spent together as a family and then exploiting it for personal gain because you don't know what real love is at that point. It's wrong. People without siblings may not ever understand this type of love which is why it might be a fantasy to them but to the rest of us who do know, we know that it's wrong deep down.

If any of you are interested, I suggest you read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma (full length novel) It is about an incestuous relationship, and though I was not entirely convinced about their feelings for each other given their life struggles and situation, it definitely offers a view on incest that makes people think. The author did I wonderful job, I believe, in balancing between what's right and wrong, so in the end, the reader is left to decide their own opinion on incest. This is opposed to other books such as Flowers in the Attic, wherein an incestuous relationship develops under horrible conditions and is therefore cast in an extremely negative light. In the end, I believe it is not something that will ever truly be declared right or wrong, much like most things in this universe.

If 2 people fall in love then they are free to do so (gay, incest, necrophilia). This is why people said homosexuality will lead to incest.

In my opinion, incest moral stands to limit human from being a total non social creature (if a father see their daughter in non social way, then its just another woman). If its lifted then the term of family is also gone.

Dude, the person who put a lot of fake spoilers was mocking the readers who actually put real spoilers without warning. That's why it was so crazy so people would get it was fake and at the same time make the readers putting spoilers for real without warning take a hint.
