The MC started searching for the ML (you can see at the start of chap 1 that ppl were lining up for MC’s appproval). The ML appears, however, the MC got tired from the amount of ppl that were fake so he didn’t recognize the ML. MC thought that ML is a fraud too so he ordered people to beat him up REALLY badly (which is a wrong thing to do regardless of whether he was a fraud or not). MC soon after realizes that the guy he beat up was actually the ML, so he went to apologize to ML and asked if it’s really him. ML, disappointed at MC, lied and said that he is also a fraud, ending their relationship.
