Jiwook has lost his memories of the incident. Meaning this is pretty much the same as doing this to an innocent person in some way. Worse stuff are gonna happen to him later on, and although I would understand JY's actions it's very interesting that they added the memory loss part. Vengeance is something, but this is just JY perpetuating the horror on a person who has no memory of such a history with him.

I also asked whether JY knows that JW has really lost his memory: he does. He knew from the start.
Anyways, I think that although JY's actions are 100% justified (lmao), the memory loss part makes me think twice about it.
Yeahhh it's really complicated with the memory loss playing into the story. Juyeon himself feels some typa way about it because sometimes he feels like he's the one who did wrong while Jiwook is totally clueless. But one of the side stories actually shows that he wasn't going to pursue revenge in the first place lol. He was just trying to move on with his life and was kind to Jiwook in the hospital after he lost his memory. But a combination of Lee Woojin (Jiwook's high school enemy) goading him into getting revenge and finding out that Jiwook was actually told that he had done some fucked up shit to another boy and just didn't care pushed him to get his lick back.
like i said, i feel like i would've committed and if the only way for juyeon to continue living was getting his revenge, then so be it lol get ur revenge. I feel like the memory loss doesn't change much since jiwook seems to act barbaric and like a shit person. if anything, it's unfair to juyeon that he's the one with the full memories of it and has to live with them. so im still leaning more on juyeons side...jiwook had to get karma one way or another. he's the one who came after juyeon first too when they met again in college
