Shoujo manga is like magic. I like how it's make even the most unethical things seem all sweet and fluffy. It's like this is the legit way to get underage girls and all the legal shit is only there as a romantic obstacle you need to overcome in order for your love to grow, not to stop kids from making mistakes, stop predators and the ever rising number of teen moms.
And the fact that he could keep his job afterwards...Oh. That's just sweet.
(PS: I have absolutely nothing agaist couples with large age gap. Nor do I deny that there are some mature, savvy and clearheaded kids out there who can make good life decisions for their future, like marriage and planning their family and jobs in their teens, even more than some adults. But, the female lead was none of the above. She is just a mess.)
So, I was like really into the story until their love scene where he claimed that he really wasn't into ikebana.
I mean, even the female lead was all serious about loving her family, protecting her inheritance and not being all crybaby about everything even when her grandmother fell under the weather. She was so damn serious and cool, and I was there loving it.
Then comes the guy, who says he loved her from childhood and everything, and they go hot and bothered and everything is dandy until he says he really wasn't into ikebana.
I hate those kind of guys. Like, ok, maybe it's sound romantic and all in the moment. But, doing flower arrangements was like the only thing going on for him. It was like the only thing the female lead liked about him and fall in love with him BECAUSE of the ikebana. I mean seriously! And you throw that out for him to claim it was for love?! Why??? Why would some fuker who throw everything aside for love and probably doesn't even like his own life vocantion ? How is that better than a pasionate artist loving you from childhood and you two doing on your merry way doing what you love together?
His love come true. He got the President. Yet...Why do I pity the banger?
