Do i need to read the novel first as i cannot understand anything starting from the first chapter, i’m so confused.
I recommend you read the novel first as it will be a lot easier to understand the plot and the connections between the characters. Both the manhwa and the dongua leave out quite a bit os the explaning bits so it easily gets confusing.
For me I actually watched the drama first then I read the novel, seeing faces on the live screen makes it less confusing even if I dont remember their names

I think watching the donghua first would give you a lot of insight on what's happening and the correlation of everything in the manhua, then read the manhua, I personally started the novel after seeing/reading all of the other adaptations
Wow not alot of people here watch the untamed Im surprised, I was actually introduced to mdzs through the drama. The donghua is still really good though, the action scenes in the animation are really top notch!
I watched the untamed too! And I totally recommend it for anyone looking for a more complete version of this even though some parts were either changed or some new stuff were added to the original plot it was still a good watch
